Oh FFS, really...how many of our F-35 fleet have been unknowingly using foreign bits where they shouldn't be, if it took this long for this to be found.

Honestly with schtuff like this and the likes of Eric Swallowswell and other Quislings in Congress to say nothing of Hunter Bribem and President Sundown... I really wouldn't be surprised if Xi has a big red 'make all our equipment blow up / light up like an Xmas tree for easy targeting' button on his desk if / when they decide to go for Taiwan.

He definitely doesn't have one.
One thing the US DoD is VERY good at making sure, is what is and isn't made.
Most vehicles are made in America or an allied country.
As Vyor said somewhere, the thing that happend here was a co.pany bought a peoce if metal iirc that was from China but the thing the F35 needed it for, was made in the US.

We take our next gen fighter craft and equipment VERY serious

How much money was wasted trying to railroad this man? The Command Inquiry said he didn't do it but the Admiral went ahead with a court martial.
Brass like this is why the military is having a retention problem. These are not the Nam Era brass. These are the brass that snuck in during the Reagan and Bush years by brown nosing and only thinking of themselves. I hope he sues the Navy after he gets out. And Consider the source who suggested it.

They did ruin his reputation after only a lackluster investigation. I mean, really? Not checking all of the evidence?

From what I have heard about how they stored flammable material on that ship. It is pretty damning of the Command as a whole. The whole Wardroom needed to be brought into account. I mean none of the Officers or the Chiefs for that matter stepped up and said hey this is not in Navy Regs. They just wanted to pin the blame on that poor guy and hopefully save their own skins. They whole lot of them need to lose any chance at a military retirement and be dismissed with prejudice.
