Oh, i don't known. Our dear friend bibi is more than desperate enough to try that in hope that Iran retaliate strong enough for him to get an excuse for a war to save is scalp. right now, he is felling the justice very near. And Mossad is more than capable to put one of these, after all.

It could easily be maintenance work gone wrong, older the ship, the more maintenance it needs, hence more the chance for something to go wrong.

Perhaps, but support ships are crucial to extend the reach of one’s navy outside nearby/territorial waters, and such a vessel in this case could also potentially act as a “mother ship” for smaller attack boats like Boghammers as well as drones, so it’s still significant.

You've obviously missed the Iranian warship and support ship that was being tracked off East Africa, which they think are headed for Venezuela.

Iran may not have a lot of conventional force projection, but between thier funding of terror groups and thier friendly relationship with certain players, they definitely have some ability to project power away from thier borders.

And after twelve years Benjamin Netanyahu's 'rule' over Israel is over. The Knesset has decided to form a new government formed from a coalition of opposition parties.

Well, looks like we will be I'm Iraq longer or maybe go after Iran
Blowing the fuck out of Iran's military, and military infrastructure, is long past due.

We don't need boots on the ground, we just need to destroy their ability to project power and supply weapons abroad.

Did Americans bomb them again?

Yes.

Or their friends anyways.

The United States has conducted airstrikes near the Syrian-Iraqi border targeting three "operational and weapons storage facilities" with two being in Syria and one in Iraq. The facilities were operated by the Iranian-backed militias known as Kataib Hezbollah and Kataib Sayyid al-Shuhada, both of whom have relations to the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Front. Estimates range between four and seven Iranian-backed militia fighters being killed with the Syrian government citing that one child was also killed in the airstrikes.

The above two groups were targeted back in February as a reprisal for a militia rocket attack on a US facility which resulted in the death of a US employed Filipino contractor. Kataib Hezbollah was designated a terrorist organization back in 2009 and is responsible for numerous attacks on US forces in the Middle East. Their leaderm Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, was killed in the same operation that ended the life of top Iranian General Qassim Soleimani.

Anyways this article is from two days ago. They had a bit of a tit for tat.

Eight rockets fired at US troops in Syria. US troops fired back with artillery. No reported casualties as of yet.
