They've been calling troops monsters for decades. Since at least Vietnam and near certainly before that. So it's but real relavant what the left says about the service.
I know for a fact from time to time US Military personnel work hand and hand with DEA outside of US Borders. Back in the day I was part of 3 Drug Interdictions in the Carribbean with the DEA. It was a Joint US Navy DEA operation.

Nope. Not to many people even knew about those operations. They were kind of hush hush back then. But I think a few people in Congress were none to pleased that the US Navy was using major assets to take on Drug Smugglers. I believe it was a Congressman or Senator that asked and I shit you not. "Doesn't the Navy have better things to do?" I would not be surprised if some of our politicians are on the take.

I think that plenty of your Western Leftists see all your armed forces whether it be Army, Navy or Airforce to all be waste of taxpayers’ money
Money that could go to welfare programs and infrastructure building instead and stuff
Also, probably because as far as they can tell, guys like ISIS don’t have a REAL army capable of threatening the USA with both numbers and equipment and that chances are there’d only be a war with anybody else because it’d be the USA’s fault
Ok as some one who lives in Cali the infrastructure building stuff is promised but they hardly ever fucking deliver on that promise. If they do deliver its ten times slower then projected and way over cost. Welfare programs when they are done are often done in ways that fuck over familes (See the black communities) or are done incredibly inefficiently. When these programs do fuck up instead of reforming them to make them better there is a doubling down and it gets worse.

Nothing. In fact back when we were using our Naval Battlegroups in "Training Operations" with the DEA we had effectively did what the DEA could not do alone. Completely shutdown the Sea and Air drug corridors in the Carribbean. Forcing them to use land routes. After Congress bitched and moaned about the Naval Operations and we stopped. It was business as usual for the Cartels again. That is a thing about the Drug war no one really talks about. When the US Military is focused on Drug Runners they lose the ability to freely transport things.
