Unlike with the Kavenaugh case this one doesn't have an entire political party invested into trying to make her out to be a victim for their own gain along with having more blatant evidence out in the open killing her popularity. That makes for a substantial difference in how willing people are to support her, woman or not.

Her being a woman does tend to carry a lot of weight though; I remember reading about this one woman who got off without punishment after holding a knife against a police officer's throat, and threatening to kill them. This was caught on video by the way. Women enjoy heavy bias in their favor in a court room.
When you can get caught on tape putting a knife at a cops throat and threaten to kill them in a police station and walk away with out any punishment that is what privilege looks like.
I really look forward to the day when the word of women is considered as much worth as a man's.

While Crotians were indeed percieved as Catholic Serbs, Croatia was not a bone of contention with AH, the lands that AH annexed after 1878 were. Even the early teritorial demands in WWI were limited to to BiH and small part of Dalmatia, to get a sea port. It was only later in the war that Pašič got bolder.
I think you are getting Croatia and Slovenia mixed up, because Serbia definitely wanted Croatia, but only got Slovenia because slovenians where more worried about being annexed by Italy after ww1 then by Serbia.

Before WWI, Serbian agitation was about Bosnia, not Croatia and Vojvodina, those were just distant utopic dreams, even Black Hand idiots were not as idiotic to demand Croatia at that point. Even after collapse of AH they didn't take over Croatia imediately but waited until they were invited.
