The slippery slope is a rough thing. People said it would happen and were mocked for it.

But everything the social conservatives said would happen by accepting more and more levels of deviancy happened.

I think they are at the trying to get pedophilia accepted stage now.

There is a reason why we are having a populist revolt and why were probally in for a religious revival with in the next two decades and why I think traditionalism will make a massive unstopable comeback in 80 or so years.

The 'religious revival in the next two decades' is a good bet: historically, the fifth decade of the century is a time of religious revival in the USA; it was so in the 1740s(First Great Awakening), the 1840s(last decade of the Second Great Awakening) and the 1940s(there was a religious revival back then(mainly after WWII), although the Third Great Awakening happened earlier, ending in the 1930s).

I tend to think that cyclic views of history like this neglect the blood, sweat, and tears shed in making it happen. Things don't happen because it's X decade, they do it because relatively small groups of people buckle down and force it to. And while there can definitely be an energy from the people, without that being harnessed it goes nowhere and achieves little.

You're partly misunderstanding what I meant. It won't happen(if it happens) because it's a date in the calendar; it may happen, because history seems to point that large enough groups of people(in the US at least) get sick of... irreligiosity(is that even a word? Couldn't think of a better one anyway) and start putting religion back into society(and there you get your shedding of blood, sweat and tears) at somewhat regular intervals.

External factors will affect that(that's my read of the 1940s revival), but I do think that, given what we are seeing now, it shouldn't take that long for some sort of reaction, even if it's a short-lived one. It may very well be in 20 years.

They had been trying for some time.
No, pedo's have been trying to hop onboard the LGBT train for a long time. And they have been kicked off repeatedly in the past. But now, with everything accomplished, people left the political machine with the keys in the ignition, and people who were previously useful crazies (see socialists) or abhorrents (pedos) are getting onboard.

The only way "mandatory anal probing" could be considered justified is if a new - very virulent and spreadable - form of cancer (or something else) that's even more difficult to detect non-visually than either an enlarged prostate or colon cancer crops up.

I'm in my 40s and not yet due for a colonoscopy for a few years.

Rectal AIDS vaccine? Bi yearly boosters. Could you really not seem them going for a mandate?

Colonoscopy. Both of my grandmothers died of colon cancer.

Sticking a camera up someone's anus to see if something's wrong once every few years might be unpleasant for the patient and women usually don't get those, but it might have given my grandmothers a few more years.
