If we needed more, you create some bigger sign on bonuses and incentives, and a lot more waivers for things that might prevent people from joining (minor criminal charges and shit like that.)

Maybe even an incentive that your record gets wiped if you serve a full term.

I tried to join Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force. I couldn't because of a charge classified as a "minor misdemeanor," for marijuana possession. Kind of ridiculous. But when you have enough soldiers, you can afford having stricter requirements to join. When you need more, lower the requirements.

It is exactly weakness that invites war from authoritarians, dictators, and despots. If you present them with a strong front, they will back off, much like less exalted forms of bullies and tyrants.

So yes, if things go hot in the next couple years, we can absolutely blame Biden and those who put him into 'power.'

If, in the unlikely event that we do actually engage in war with China (and not a proxy war over some other territory)... I just don't see mass conscription like WW2 happening. A mass invasion is impractical: neither side has a reason to be conquering the other's cities, nor can they actually move large numbers of troops and supplies across the ocean anyway (if by boat, get blown up by a missile. If by air, can't move any meaningfully large numbers of forces, also good luck not getting hit by a missile). More than likely, it's just going to be missiles taking out key infrastructure like harbors, ships in harbors, airfields, warehouses, railroads, military HQs, etc until one side is just unable to competently function. A volunteer force will be more than enough to occupy a handful of small locations.

Unlike what you seem to believe, China cannot fight the whole rest of the world and come out on top.

India and Japan would be stumbling blocks by themselves, not to mention Russia which would have no interest in living under a Chinese yoke.

And I said leftists can feel free to die for the country for once. They can have fun trying to take on the communists, and the more of them gone or rotting in a POW camp is just another positive for America as far as I’m concerned.

I know the whole Ronald Reagon quote of where if we let them have on area they'll move onto the next and the next, till only America is left. But that's not realistic you know. I mean let's pretend your worst case scenario comes about China becomes a super power they make Korea, and Japan vassal states and dominate the pacific and Asia. How does that affect Europe or America? Now it will affect trade but, territory wise it won't be a threat the Chinese won't send forces to Alaska or Texas, or New York, or Berlin, or Moscow, or Paris, or London. They have no reason or desire to do so. The most nationalist pro Chinese segments of their society want to be number 1 and regain their glory days of the Ancient Chinese Empire. None of that requires them spreading Maoism to Europe or the Americas.
