That's a huge portion of it. Middle class white kids who are pissed at their dads. Seriously.

It's the rebellious phase on steroids.

Back in the day we'd just wear over sized, torn jeans, smoke pot and steal beer from the gas stations.

They ironically end up going to worse and more “conservative” abusers, well that’s Europe, and end up being the guys to ruin the fun of others by simultaneously trying to be “mature” using PC culture and being “one of the kids” but turning a place into one where everyone’s scared to speak out when it comes to ridiculous politics

TikTokers share their glow-ups after escaping conservative households.

Or: How completely perfect, attractive people turn themselves into woke, unstable caricatures. Bloody hell, they all went from attractive to fucked in the head.
Transformed from one stereotype into an entirely different one. No exaggerating, showing all these clips together just shows how they all have that "tumblr look". And that's supposed to be your self-actualizing, true identity instead of dressing like a normie? bruh
4Chan had this post where they showed people pre-college where they looked like normal people and then you have a post college pic where they looked like the very caricature of an SJW.

I think that was from Brazil, something like antes depois da federal or so. I've seen them a few times; they are still terrifying, though.
It's(or was, not sure) a Twitter profile/Facebook group "Antes e depois da Federal" - 'Before and after Federal(University)". The majority of public universities in Brazil belong to the Federal Government, not to the States, so "Federal" gets used as a shorthand for 'public university'.

So watching Extraction on Netflix and I went on the Internet after seeing the movie to see how everyone else may or may not have enjoyed this excellent action movie. The initial reviews made me curious.

ScreenRant said:
Despite the spectacular stunt work, Extraction is a garden-variety action-thriller dragged down by its regressive white savior elements.

Variety said:
The white-savior version of “Man on Fire,” in which a gruff mercenary is hired to rescue a kidnapped rich kid from a dark-skinned drug lord.

The Guardian said:
The optics of a white mercenary raining down bullets on anonymous brown bodies...

Holy shit... this movie is racist as Hell... advancing a regressive White Savior narrative!

Out of curiosity... I googled South Asian reviews...

India Express said:
This is a guy’s movie, with lots of good-bad, good-but-greedy, and totally bad guys running around, shooting people, slashing throats, and killing whoever comes in the way (in one scene, a very young child is dispatched with frightening speed). Lots of blood, lots of brutality, and some clunkiness, all on loud display: this isn’t a film you should be watching on your home devices; it needs stereophonic, surround sound.

There’s not much space in a Hemsworth-produced film for too many other faces, but still, the desi contingent does get a look-in:

The Hindu said:
Extraction promises thrilling chase sequences and multiple explosions, and it doesn’t disappoint on that count. But for an action film, there are way too many hazy flashbacks, extended conversations and characters we barely know anything about.

New Indian Express said:
"Extraction" is sketchy in its intent and execution. The drama operates on a nebulous kidnapping that is never explained. It's almost as if Joe Russo, before writing this screenplay, saw too many of those old Hindi action dramas of the eighties and nineties where you normally threw logic behind while setting up the hero as a portrait of machismo.

India Today said:
One has to add here that, it is perhaps for the first time that we've come across an American film that does justice to Indian talent by giving them fleshed-out roles and not reduce them to stereotypes. Priyanshu Painyuli is proper evil, Randeep Hooda is a true fighter, and Rudhraksh Jaiswal, though sometimes tilting towards the formulaic hapless Indian boy we've seen far too often in Slumdog Millionaire and Life Of Pi, makes your heart bleed.

Idiots! THIS ISN'T A DUMB ACTION MOVIE THAT PROMINENTLY FEATURES SOUTH ASIAN ACTORS! 👏

IT'S A REGRESSIVE 👏 RACIST 👏 WHITE 👏 SAVIOR 👏 NARRATIVE 👏

Reminds of the time when a bunch of White/Western Film critics decried The Last Samurai as racist but Japanese audiences and critics seemed to think positively of the movie. There are other examples of course... but yeah. I love the cognitive dissonance.

Ghost of Tsushima for a recent example.

American liberals were going on about how racist it was because it's a Feudal Japanese setting, but made by Westerners. They hated this game because of that. I mean, Really they hated it because it did better than their woke game that was supposed to be a huge success: The Last of Us 2, (trannies and zombies, how can you go wrong?!) but they painted it as racist cultural appropriation.

It was a knock out, stellar success in Japan. It was loved by the people who the SJWs were supposedly offended for. Do you think that Stopped them?

TLoU2 had no trannies last I checked. Just a really beefy woman who went to the gym a lot (The base she was at had a gym).

Wait she does?
Yes.

It's a girl from some kind of cult type thing. The cult has really strict rules about gender roles. She likes the male roles better and starts identifying as a boy.

That causes problems, he meets Abby and Abby decides to stick with the poor kid despite all the horrible stuff she does.

It's not really in character for Abby and is used for both woke points and to try and make the player like Abby more.

It... didn't really work... at all.
