Was it for NASCAR standards? Xfinity series? Sprint Series? What year? Because as of 2020, it is 400k, with 60-100k being the engine alone
It's to 2014 NASCAR standards and somehow street legal. It's currently sitting in one of my sister's garages because mom doesn't want to see it again.

The '65 Porsche is in a different sister's garage because mom also doesn't ever want to see that again.

I'm not a car guy (I drive a '99 Toyota). The Koenigsegg gets parked in my garage when dad visits my big sis because if dad ever sees that he's going to buy one.

My dad is a little kid in a candy store who wants all of it and can write the cheque to get all of it.

If it is street legal it is not a NASCAR built stock car.

No stock car used in NASCAR racing is street legal. they have no lights, they have no license plate. They are literally specialty built for the racing they do.

OK, I am calling bullshit. 2014 NASCAR standards is CoT, which is not at all street legal in any way, shape, or form.

I'd say your dad got rooked by a conman if the car is supposedly both NASCAR standard and street legal. A car ceases to be street legal if modifications change any part of its structure or change its weight by over 2%. You cannot possibly make a NASCAR standard vehicle within those limitations as they do both, very heavily. That's besides the other stuff they do like removing the trunk, headlights, all the seats but the driver's, welding the doors shut (wait that hits the structural change clause) etc. There's just no way.

Edit: That does explain why you thought it was so cheap though. We're talking about Solid Gold Rolexes that go for three grand but your dad bought a "gold" "rolex" from some flea market vendor for $20.00 and thought he had the genuine article. That probably explains why they were calling themselves "Hendrix Motorsports" to rook the gullible as well.

It's not a matter of money. What you're claiming he bought does not exist and cannot exist. It's like claiming he bought a working military surplus artillery piece for a thousand bucks that's also legal to hunt deer with.
You have not met my dad. If he wa. possible

I didn't realize Bloody Elbow was a woke shill of a MMA website considering their intended readership but alas... looks like there's at least one myopic moron on their staff that wants to cancel longtime UFC Commentator Joe Rogan for "reasons."

As Crowder reports...

Joe Rogan has been there since the beginning and is probably the best grappling commentator there is by MILES. He's not going anywhere.

That's what training BJJ since the early 90s will do that.

Crowder trains BJJ too I think. I also did for 5 years. Good sport.

CNN fires Rick Sanchez for saying that American Jews are not an oppressed minority

On Thursday, Sanchez gave an interview on XM Radio in which he called Stewart – who has frequently poked fun at Sanchez on the Daily Show – a bigot before correcting himself and describing Stewart as "prejudiced" after being challenged by the interviewer, Pete Dominick.

But what set off a storm of controversy on blogs, after a transcript of Sanchez's interview was circulated, was his remarks about Jews. Here's a partial transcript of the exchange that followed:

Pete Dominick: [Jon] Stewart's a minority as much as you are. He's Jewish.

Sanchez: Yeah. Yeah. Very powerless people. Please. What are you, kidding?

Dominick: You're telling me that....

Sanchez: I'm telling you that everybody who runs CNN is a lot like Stewart, and a lot of people who run all the other networks are a lot like Stewart. And to imply that somehow they – the people in this country who are Jewish – are an oppressed minority? Yeah.

I guess he got reminded the hard way that his minority status is way too low on the victimhood pyramid to badmouth the sacred cows of the liberal elite.

So, the NY Times has pushed an opinion piece that we need to retire the Stars and Stripes and put up a new flag and they're showing us their ideas. I'm honestly still trying to find all these flags because they're paywalled, and these aren't easy to find. I think this is all of them but I'm not 100% sure. I am, however, sure they are 100% cringe.

The colors of our flag are intended to stand for unity, valor and justice. The gray, monochrome flag represents America surrendering to its fall from power and loss of the ideals it once stood for. The American dream is being washed away.

NYTAmericanflag4.PNG

This one came with it's own key because it's impossible to figure out what it's trying to say without it.

NYTAmericanflag2.PNG

In this flag, the familiar symbolism falls out of focus, giving way to something ambiguous, vague and difficult to define.

This flag is designed to make Tattoo Artists cry when you tell them you want an American Flag on your biceps. Okay, that wasn't their actual description but I'm pretty sure that will be the result.

@Zachowon, you're probably the most patriotic person here, would you want to follow these into battle?

I would rather kill myself then follow any of these into battle.
I'm sure a LARGE majority would never let that flag be on thier arm.

I am patriotic for the flag as it is and what it stands for. I am patriotic for the constitution above all else.

If we are to change the flag I recommend we change it to the forst flag, the Betty Ross Flag.

The sad thing is these flags mostly fail basic flag etiquette. Look it's not absolute, but there are rules to flags. Flags are made out of pieces of cloth sewn together with embroidery, so there are design limitations and restrictions on flags. #1 is that flags do not have gradients or blurs, you can't make those with pieces of cloth and embroidery so they aren't used on flags.

I'm not a soldier but I'm reasonably sure that going into battle with an all-white flag is a war crime so that flag is basically war crimes: the flag. Never mind the utter weakness of wanting to represent America as losing all its virtues and giving up.

The all-stripes flag doesn't have that problem, and it's a flag of sorts but significantly more boring than the current American flag, which is frankly a good mix of interesting design within the limits normally imposed by flags.

The four blocks flag is one that fits flag design stipulations, but it has so many symbolisms at once it needs a key just to explain it. Good flags have reasonably simple symbolism. Fifty stars for the fifty stars, thirteen stripes for the thirteen original colonies is snappy where this isn't.

The reverse stars and stripes flag, there's nothing wrong with it, there's just nothing right with it either. It's just reversing things for the sake of reversing things, ie, Kindergarten logic.

The flag mixing up the stars and stripes into tiny blocks is too busy, as is the flag made entirely of triangles of other flags This disrupts the main value and purpose of flags, which is being immediately obvious for rallying and symbolism.

You added a porn-censor to it.
That just makes me want to see the full flag MORE.

Also, if we're going to redesign the flag, we should do so with an eye towards tradition older than America...

No, wait, sorry, that was the humorous one, to be slightly more serious:
iu

Rome-aboo Founding Fathers would be all over the Roman iconography appearing in the flag.
