I think James Lindsay in his most recent video on this puts his thumb on it: the point of Critical theory is Praxis, or Activism. The ideas being championed only matter so far as they allow the advancement of the activism. They don't actually care about ideas.

Short-sighted commentary from Alex here. There is a global push for getting vaccinated supported in the West by high-tech restrictions, and he thinks the vaccine shilling wouldn't continue beause a different person was in office. If anything vaccination rates would go up.
Furthermore, the American news couldn't do that because all the foreign news sites that copy articles from CNN would amplify their theoretical vaccine skepticism.

Quite telling that a website called “truthout” repeats lib panic talking points about the Capitol incident, repeats the fudged death count of 587000 without any critical analysis, says nothing of the suicides associated with lockdowns, and is equally mum about the risks of Vaccines and impact of small business closures. No, we’re just supposed to blame “capitalism” for forcing everyone to reopen too soon. Don’t expect them to have anything good to say about HCQ either.
Golly gee, it’s almost as if sites like these exist to corrall a proggressive reader base into swallowing CNN-tier talking points and unrealistic stigmatism of the “far-right” under a veil of animosity towards “muh capitalism” which isn’t even opposed to them on social issues.
