If those authors and other guys were assholes, don't have much regrets if they stop talking to you, they're not worth your time
Honestly, these days, I kinda have it a hard time to separate the writer from his/her work when I keep getting the feeling even decades ago now, that they would be a bunch of gaslighting accuse-you-of-Nazism and be a sadistic douchebag
This is my belief in-regards to problems that people purposely ignore and lie about
Things have to get worse to the point it's way too obvious, that people who styled themselves as "moderates" or "sane" start questioning the world around them once more

If all you want to do is follow fics and thats all you actually do, you'll get away with it. Just change everything about your names, posting habits and say very little

Honestly? I don't see what's wrong with massive amounts of Chinese shilling and apologia in this situation. The Republic of China isn't to blame, has been very open and seemingly accurate in their reportsing despite negligence and prejudice from the WHO, and providing some aid to assist others in mitigation and vaccine research cooperation.

Way too much effort for way too little reward. May try it some other time but honestly doesn't sound worth it. Even if I never go to Whitehall and Non-SF debates the fact that I will constantly have to police my own opinions and not speak my mind openly ruins it for it.
I never really noticed much wrong with the authors themselves in the creative writing section. But then again I did not speak much nor did I see much of anything that would really trigger the mods there. I would like to believe the Whitehall is where the loud minority circle jerks all day, but it would be naive of me to not admit there is a high probability all the forums are infected. I noticed while I was banned there was a apparent drama with a "alt-right cabal" that was "targeting moderated and attempting to push the forum to extremism" via DM's and profile messages in 2019? I just glanced over that as I was already suspended (not realizing I would be permabanned as soon as my suspension ran out) and wanted to keep off that landmine to keep my account. Looking back, that probably was the moderates getting purged by mods. Hell, I would go as far as to say this could have been a possible False Flag to get rid of the more "problematic" people in the site but I don't know enough to say.
I am just glad SB isn't a big part of my life as it seems to be to some people there.

Welcome to the home of said "alt-right cabal." The charges were bullshit, and the incident was used to purge all the right-leaning mods on SB in one go, leaving the crazies in charge of the asylum. We made this place instead.

Oh damn. That should have been a massive red flag for me. How bad was it? What really happened? How did SB even get away with it? I am just baffled at how authoritarian and insane they seem to be outside the regular folks on Creative Writing. Was it a Gamergate sorta deal?

I'd like to introduce you all to a Youtuber by the name of Gweilo 60. I discovered him while trying to look for more content by Laowhy86 and Serpentza, the ADVChina guys; specifically, this video is what came up:
And looking at the rest of his videos, it quickly became clear what this guy was; a propaganda mouthpiece for the CCP. Now, I don't think he's being directly instructed by them to say anything, but ideologically he seems to want to do everything he can to defend the Chinese government from criticism (particularly by insisting that any criticism of the government is a racist attack against all people of China), and push whatever narrative best supports them and their actions.
I'll say this much for the guy; he has fully assimilated to the country, and has become Chinese in all but ethnicity.

He's certainly in for a rude awakening at some point, because China is one of the most racist countries in the world. The CCP know everything about him, and they leave him alone because he spreads their propaganda willingly; if that changes though, if they decide he's become a liability even through no fault of his own, we'll probably never hear from him again after that.
