Religion Let's argue about religion

There were commands against mixing together things that are supposed to be apart. Many scholars believe the underlying point was spiritual - it was about purity and holiness, and not mixing the clean and unclean.

Atheists who keep a collection of "oh but what about" verses from the depths of the Old Testament tend, in my experience, to not really be interested in learning the answers.
From what I remember, me and the bible do not agree though on what is clean, and unclean. Actually sitting down to read it was one of the major reasons I became an atheist for a time, especially when my Sunday school teacher kept telling me not to question what I read.

It has been many years since I last read the bible; maybe I'm misremembering. But I was sure there was something about how you're forbidden from using the same land to plant different crops; it was one of my go-tos for examples of crazy stuff in the bible.
Maybe you should read the bible again, it can't harm to refresh one's memory every now and then. This said, Levictus was supposed to bring law and order to an age where "Law and Order" amouthed to "They are foreigners, therefore guilty!" as far as I understood.

Oh I am well aware of that; but the problem is some people seem to think those rules for a different age must be applied to the current one. It's safe to eat pork and shellfish now, so what point is there in having a rule against doing so? And if you're going to ignore that one, as most Christians do, why not all the others that no longer apply? I don't like this pick and choose business; it makes no sense.

You're asking the wrong person here.
For all I know, Jesus suspended the rules of the Old Testament to acknowledge that times and things have changed.

Which is what some people actually believe, and yet they also believe things that can only be found in the Old Testament. As I remember, it's sodomy specifically that's considered unclean in the Old Testament, not homosexuality in general; and there isn't much said about it in the New. Which means that if you believe god hates gays, and yet have anal sex with the opposite gender, you're doing it wrong.

So this anti-feminist FB group I'm in now have some Muslims preaching.

Like HAHAHAHAHAHA no, fuck you, I'm not campaigning against authoritarian Marxist cancer to replace it with authoritarian Islamic cancer.
Wait, your anti-feminist FB group has Muslims preaching? Doesn't that make more sense for a pro-feminist group to do? And isn't what I just typed utterly insane? God the world is messed up.

Have you stated that you do not agree with the inclusion of the muslims into your group?
If so, did they reply why they were allowed in?

Nah, they'd take a page from the ancaps and go "muh freeze peach" if anyone insinuates that we're throwing out the pedophile worshipers out of the group. Remember, they're conditioned to lie to the kaffir to advance their ideology.

Besides, it's more fun to trigger them with memes. If they show off their true selves, the mods will do the rest of the work for us.

If there's one thing I hate more than Marxists and feminists, it's jihadis and their rape-kill-breed ideology.

Man, the picture of "Islam is right about Females" was supposed to be a mockery towards the Left, not to be taken seriously.

well, normally, as long as you are cooking them properly anyway...(shhh, we don't talk about the time shellfish got contaiminated with Hepatitis and caused a major outbreak in Denmark)

Of course, that can be said for plenty of foods that people then insist on not preparing properly. For instance, soy. Basically all the proclaimed health benefits are only available in fermented soy due to certain anti nutrients that get removed by fermentation. Guess what type of soy doesn't get eaten in the West?
