But it litterally takes years and sometimes decades of fuck ups for an entrenched political elite to be ousted. People traditionally give their leaders a lot of chances to reform themselves and to unfuck themselves before they act.
I honestly think were going to be dealing with this shit for at least another 8 years or so probally longer and only once this tramatized generation grows up will we see the very motivated anger and push back.

The German people rolled over for Hitler for bread and work because they had neither. It's a warning increasingly out of living memory because of the prosperity we have had. Shame that the good times make for weakness; in 20 years I should retire - I fear what the world will bring for my twilight. The oldies used to tell the kids that they didn't know what they were talking about when they complained about hardship, hard work, ect... my own grandmother said I had soft hands - and I did, I worked in an office, not in a factory or a field like my forbears. It was a carefully hidden secret that my father was of mixed race and with good reasons. It all seemed like such nonsense in the 90's.

The good times are coming to an end, friend. And when that happens it usually ends in blood and fire.
The west has been coasting off the success of the WW2 generation. The boomers, while wildly successful in their own professional lives, were absolute failures when it came to safeguarding the culture, customs, and traditions of their forefathers.
The sexual revolution, Vietnam, and all the problems that flowed from both ruined gen-x. Followed quickly by internationalists gutting the manufacturing sector by off shoring it to the Chinese, and the growth of the middle class was pretty much stunted.
The housing crisis, the bank bailout, Iraq, and the colleges that my generation, millennials, got sent to hamstrung us. And it’s looking like gen z is just going to be a repeat of the millennials. Two generations that failed to launch and have spent their entire school careers getting exposed to increasingly woke and hysterically leftist propaganda.
The twenties and thirties of this century are likely to end in a similar fashion as the twenties and thirties of the last. Economic collapse and abject poverty/misery for the working and middle class.
Let’s just hope that the 2040’s aren’t as interesting as their prequel.

and that's where the roadblock is. Yes Good times make bad/weak men and bad times make good men, but it follows the same line of questioning as "Do we keep sinning so that grace may abound?" (to which the bible says God forbid) in this case, it's "do we keep feeding the conditions of Famine and War so that good men may abound?" it's not an easy answer and there is always a law of unintended consequences regardless of the path chosen.
Personally I'm on the side of God forbid. Even if bad times create good men it still doesn't change the fact they are bad times.

20yrs to retirement means you're about my age (mid-40s). My grandmothers were born in '28 and did remember the Great Depression and WWII Chicago.
The post-WWII rebuilding of Germany is something your grandmother certainly remembered. Her parents remembered WWI and the immediate aftermath during which hyperinflation got so bad that a wheelbarrow overloaded with money might not be enough to buy a loaf of bread.
We don't really understand the hardships our ancestors faced because we didn't experience or face them. For a modern example: trying to explain to my daughters what it's like to be without any access to a cell phone will be met with blank stares and is a lost cause.

This is why it's more important than anything to become self sufficient and to begin earning outside the system. It doesn't matter how so long as it's within the bounds of the law and their gray areas but you have a duty to begin to prepare for the dark times.
In the chaos that comes every man's duty is to become the next Crassus or Rockefeller. Not so you can enrich yourself but so that you can have as many kids as you can and establish an empire for their safety and prosperity. A high tide raises all boats and new more dynamic systems crash the old.
Prepare for 20 years from now not 4 years.
Be independent, be aggressive and be disdainfull of the system.
In the chaos that comes every man's duty is to become the next Crassus or Rockefeller. Not so you can enrich yourself but so that you can have as many kids as you can and establish an empire for their safety and prosperity. A high tide raises all boats and new more dynamic systems crash the old.
