While mostly known for his country music, Kenny Rogers actually got his start way back in the 1950's with Jazz. He was well known for his duets and collaborations, ranging from Dolly Parton to Lionel Richie. His song The Gambler won him a Grammy Award back in 1979.
He was also a passionate photographer, actor, and helped found Kenny Rogers Roasters, a fried chicken chain restaurant that still operates locations in Asia. He was married five times in his life and had five children.
And yes, it's Kenny Rogers, not Kenny Loggins FFS.
He's his collaboration with Wyclef. (which is a remake of perhaps his most famous song)
