They knew the US was going to negotiate, so they decided to strike first to sabotage negotiations and force us into war with them.

Going to respond to this here. I suppose mods may merge this, but that other thread is 107 pages and this isna significant current event that marks a major change, which i think warrants a clean start and new thread.

While I am pissed that they sabotaged us trying to go negotiate, if they really did wipe out the entire general staff, that's a hell of a decapitating strike. Iran may not be able to be very effective in this war.

Wholeheartedly agree on all points.

If you recall me saying previously - I have thought war with Iran was inevitable for quite some time. I'm NOT happy if it starts because Israel forced our hand and sabotaged negotiations. EVEN if i think those negotiations wouldn't have gone anywhere. I want to see the effort made.

Possible list of the dead. A big thing is the lack of death of the Supreme leader. Maybe that's good (as the voting for the next supreme leader would be hardline), or maybe it's bad (current leader is a hardliner).

Update: I saw (and lost) a tweet that said they may have got the president.

I kinda hope they did.

I mean, I'm against this attack, but I'm also against Iran, and the attack has already happened...so I'm left just hoping it was a damn effective attack that was worth it.

The more I think about it, the more I become convinced the US was probably involved by providing intelligence support and use of our satellites.

Oh, I'm pretty sure that's true.

Note Israel are being buddy fuckers by announcing on TV that American Diplo was just to lull Iran into a false sense of safety then backstab them. Why? They want Iran firing on US troops more than anything.
 
I think Israel made the right choice. The madmen running Iran can't be trusted with nuclear weapons. The moment they got them the whole region would go up in flames anyway. At least this way the destruction will probably not go nuclear.

I also don't care that they did it while we were negotiating with Iran. Those negotiations were pointless and it's clear that Iran wasn't acting in good faith. I just hope that Israel was thorough with their strikes so that we don't have to go through with this again in a few years.

Trump literally said in his white house QA yesterday that the negotiations were going nowhere and Iran wasn't there, and that he "hated to say it" because of "what this meant." So no, the idea that Israel stabbed us in the back is something only the uninformed are saying those negotiations fell through this week and basically everyone thought Trump meant we'd be doing the bombing. I'm no fan of Israel, but seems more like they're doing the dirty work so we people like Trump can play isolationist.

Trump said Iran was not wanting to negotiate. This was inevitable if that was the case.
Isreal didn't backstab as they LET US KNOW AS WE HAD ALRRADY HIGHTWNED ALERT.

Israel is doing what they need to do in order to survive. My prayer is that the Iranian people get to overthrow the zealots currently in charge.

If Iran targets US assets in pretty sure we'll bomb the crap out of them.

All we need to do is destroy their naval and air assets.

After that the only way they can strike out is by land which means going through arab lands to attack Israel and those countries do not like the Persians.

A sunni shia holy war benfits all of us.
