There there is no such thing as free will, and god lied to us; in which case, he is either not god, or is an evil god. Regardless, he is not one who deserves worship.
I'm sorry, but are you saying that if God doesn't allow you to do anything you want to do, then there is no such thing as free will? That's a clearly fallacious argument. There's nothing about moral rules that bars the existence of free will. In fact, the very ideal of morality presupposes that humans have free will. So your non-sequitur makes zero sense.

No, they are part of it; because in the end, people, like you and me, have different ideas on how things should be, and some are willing to fight for their ideals.

You seem to conflate "natural order" with "anything that happens in nature." What I'm referring to is the idea of natural law, the idea of there being a moral law inherent to nature. Surely you've heard of this concept, correct?

You seem to have a problem with my strong bioconservative stance. Why?

So Judas’ betrayal was entirely of his own fault or God was wrong or Jesus was lying?

Okay, better put this on a different thread, also Judas was a crazy zealot revolutionary, I think

Kinda funny, but I realise that the Great Race of Yith can essentially be considered an entire race of Isekai Protagonists

You know, it would be funny if someone wrote a story where the Yith's own trick was used against them, and during their body theft, they were instead transferred to empty shells and then mass dropped in various settings.

You know, I once remember a Mike Mignola comic where a race similar to the Yithians were using a dead English Gentleman’s spirit in order to get some info while they were planning an invasion of Earth

Said English Gentleman used one of said race’s bodies to mess up the entire plan before returning to Earth in a new human body

I think those Yithians will eventually go try finding themselves back on whatever world and race they’re currently inhabiting

That said, they’re more in it for the Knowledge than the Adventure or Power Fantasy Isekai series got

Idea: A former female Marine who came back home from her tour after doing something to piss off her superior and get effectively fired in-spite of being really good at killing has a hard time properly getting a new job

She is then summoned to another world by a mysterious force. Naked.

By chance or design, she finds a magic sword stuck in a stone whilst running away from monsters which she uses to kill them.

It then gives her bikini armor which she results in her getting pissed at the perverted talking magic sword.

Rage and Embarrassment about the bikini aside, she realises/decides that this' a better alternative to job hunting and would satisfy her battlelust and chooses to travel the new world.

Using energy blasts, energy beams, sword beams and energy shields alongside sheer physical power she quickly gets reputation

Honestly, I'm getting tired of female characters that prove how strong they are by showing how manly they are.

So what’d you suggest for a show of strength or “past” relating to it?

You are not allowed to do anything in order to avert death. If you were to violate your body, God's temple, to stay alive, that would be immoral.

I would be interested if you could clarify that point, because it seems extremely easy to misinterpret.

I did clarify it in another thread, but the context was that I was arguing against a transhumanist who believed you should be allowed to do anything to preserve human life. I said, no, you are not allowed to do anything because the ends don't justify the means. The transhumanist continued to strawman me, so I stopped talking to him.

What's wrong with using cybernetics or genetically engineering to extend life? Don't remember talking about using other people's lives to continue

Here’s an Isekai Idea that basically is about the whole power fantasy sort of thing plenty of dudes are into, but without any conquering or moving around much

Basic idea, a misanthropic isolationist Mad Scientist whom after messing up a teleportation device in order to get away from “the Government” who both wanted to control him and have him make lots of super-weapons

Finds himself in Low-Dark Fantasy World, somewhere VERY fucking cold and full of primitive stone to bronze age barbarians who go around raping, murdering, raiding, conquering, selling and enslaving one another and occasionally trading and being friends and allying with one another

Mad-Scientist-Man uses his hand held nano-assembly machine to slowly build his own home where he can be safe, secure from large wild primitive animals as well as the barbarian tribes and feed and care for himself with automated greenhouses as well as gather resources for experiments

The primitive tribes after trying and failing to raid him, think he’s an evil sorceror because the first few barbarians who tried attacking were reduced to green sludge after being shot by the autoturrets

For harem’s sake, the surrounding primitive tribes send their most beautiful ladies as offerings even though he rejects them

Then one day a more advance iron aged civilization comes to conquer the place and he’s in the way and has his robots fight them off and becomes considered a “God” by all the barbarian tribes who kneel to him

He now wonders what the hell he should do

Get smashed by not!Conan, in a manner reminiscent of Bane giving Batman some chiropractry? He is pretty much a pure villain, and only helping people by accident. So he creates a ruckus and then some Muscular Barbarian Hero, comes and discusses philosophy* while breaking every bone in his body? Or if you want to be funny, have them fight and then decide to adventure together, and grow to appreciate each other for the companionship? He is a muscle bound barbarian warrior-poet, and he is a Mad Scientist, together they fight crime snakemen.

*Conan after all isn't stupid, and is actually an intelligent man, so not!Conan should be too.

I think said adventures would end sorta quick, remember Conan ended up becoming a King and even when he preferred adventure he had a sense of duty

Even faster as said Mad Scientist can help destroy many future opponents quickly and establish a civilization which the first would possibly end up having a sense of duty towards

And said Mad Scientist in the end though, I’m not sure how he counts as a villain, he’s not really actively hurting people

Actually, just remembered, I think Conan once made a line about how in a Civilized land, a starving man can die right next to a large stall/store filled to the brim with food

Even if the Mad Scientist is a hermit amongst his “civilized” people, he still has the worst values “civilized” people have

He looks and sneers at the “barbarians” and when they come for help or a better way of living, he turns his nose at them and hides behind his walls

Even worse, as they starve, he feasts(lives on GMO-Food)

Maybe the Conan-alike would make raise the possibility that the one has to do with the other. That people ostracized them for a reason like this.

One has to do with the other?

People tend to ostracize others for unacceptable social conduct. And a mad scientist might not start spurning the fellowship of their fellow man, usually people ostracizing them is what pushes them. At least in my experience.

Admittedly there’s a bit of myself being used for this idea

Obviously I’m not a super genius or much of a sociopath, but I DO really prefer being alone because most people are annoying and more-or-less have to force me to be with them and I don’t like their same likes and they expect me to conform to a degree and can’t understand why I prefer being alone

And I don’t give a crap about this “No man is an island”, I’d prefer being stuck with a library full of fictional books than have to deal with one other person in Post Apocalypse
