So after reading the story about how Medvedev threatened to blow up the ICC with a Hypersonic Missile... I did some wikisurfing on ICC Detention Centers and the criminals they tried... which led me to learning about Charles Taylor, the former President of Liberia who was tried by the Court and that he apparently had a son while he was studying in the United States with an African-American student.
Charles Taylor at first didn't think the Baby was his (due to African-American heritage often having a lot of White lineage in it) but apparently for the first year, he was with the kid, working various jobs while the Mother, Bernice Emmanuel, was the main breadwinner. But when there was a military coup in Liberia in 1980 he moved back to Liberia, married the niece of an Army Officer and asked for Bernice Emmanuel and their Son to move to Liberia. She wasn't all about that life though and Charles Taylor apparently moved on with his own dictatorial life.
The son spent most of the first sixteen years of his life living in Orlando with his Mom and Stepfather and hoping to keep Charles Taylor FAR AWAY from her Son, she changed her sons name to that of her new husband. He had a modest middle class upbringing and loved rap music and wanted to become an MC. After a decade of estrangement, Charles Taylor contacted Bernice Emmanuel and her Son, stating he wanted to be involved in their lives again... and by this time Charles Taylor had risen to being the Warlord of Liberia we all know and love.
They visited Liberia and reconnected with Charles Taylor but nothing of significance happened until Chucky, as he was known, was convicted of four felonies. He apparently tried to mug another teenager with a crew of other friends and when he escaped to their house, Chucky allegedly aimed a gun at the Victims father with his friends urging him to shoot. Instead Chucky fled the scene. Soonafter Chucky attempted to slit his own wrists in a suicide attempt. He apparently had anger issues though his Stepfather and Mother said it was more due to running with the wrong crowd.
His Mother then sent him to live with his birth father in Liberia.
If you thought attempted mugging was the most serious crime he'd commit well... you can read the articles below.

He was apprehended by US Authorities when he returned to America via Miami in 2006 trying to enter the country with a falsified passport. In 2008 a Trial By Jury found him guilty of eight counts including torture and conspiracy to commit torture, his war crimes violating prior US Law forbidding Americans from torturing people abroad and was sentenced to 97 years in prison which he's currently serving at the Federal United States Penitentiary in Lee County, Virginia and is set to be released sometime in 2090.
