No, Lusankya was not stripped of weapons, nor had the spike installed, till after she was on station during the Borealis siege, and then only to refit damage to other ISDs.

You might want to actually read the entire Vong series before making some claims.

She didn't have the spike installed until during the siege, but she explicitly *was* undearmed when they pulled her out of mothballs and it was an explicit statement that the New Republic policy was they weren't keeping any SSDs in active service for their bullshit ethical reasons. A fully armed and up-to-spec Executor-class would have pretty much soloed the entire Yuzzhan Vong force at Borealis, considering that the Vong's 1200-meter long Matalok "cruiser analogs" are so comically fragile that they can be destroyed by a *single* fighter grade heavy torpedo (a "Jedi shadow bomb") or three hits from standard proton torpedoes.

Remember, they made a big plot point about Lusankya being pulled out of demilitarization scrap so she *wasn't* a fully functional SSD, hence the entire bizarre ramming spike plotline.

Plenty of the New Jedi Order was well written enough. If you don't like the premise, then you don't like the premise. I thought it was done well enough overall regardless of the nature of the Vong threat. What came after it was far lower quality IMHO.

Plus I mean, Star Wars could've gone far worse then even DisneyWars if we listened to some trufans.
