I have just found out that Fox is working on a License to Drive 'female-driven' reboot

MUCH ANGERY

How the fuck can they think this is even fucking feasible? That movie is the fulfillment of some of the quintessential male teenager fantasies! Making a 'female-driven' reboot will result in a pile of dung that only shares the name with its supposed 'inspiration'!

And then, when this turd bombs in the cinemas, the ones responsible for bringing this abortion of nature to the world will whine on Twitter that 'this is a result of institutionalized sexism'...

It can work and be a successful movie but it needs to do a couple things.

1. Do not try to push a 'message'

2. Do not be preachy

3. have interesting charaters and a good script

4. Do not insult your audience.

5. Do not hire talent that hates the audience

6. Control every ones social media so no one fucks it up.

7. don't pander to the extreme left while promoting your movie say its for every one.

You could make a good movie following the same general plot of 'teenager, after failing his/her drive license exam, goes on in an adventure on his/her granpa's stolen car', following the general advice above, but even then, that's the only thing they'll share - as said in my previous post, the whole of the film is a male teenager's fantasy played on screen. What would be the female teenager's fantasy on that situation? Could you even say there will be similarities between the 80's movie and this 'reboot', other than the same title?

I have a better idea. Stop fucking watching Hollywood and stop giving them money. Pirate anything you want to watch.

I think you all are confused.

Studios don't do female driven reboots in an attempt to be "woke."

They do it because statistically more young women go to the movies than young men, to the point where for every ten young men going to the movies there are 11 young women.

Now think about all the date nights, the fact that women are more likely to go to an event in a social group to something like the theater than men, etc.

License to Drive would honestly be a hard to be marketed to men these days. It'd be hard to do the same things they did in the original, especially with Mercedes.

Much easier to market a movie about free-spirited teens fucking around to women than men - men are far more likely to go to the latest superhero or action movie.

Most "woke" moves are actually marketing calls, some of which backfire.

Its both. Its woke cause more women movies focused on women and another movie taken away from men and more female power/empowerment nonsense just like what they did with Star wars + what you said.

Anyway, as I said. Ignore it and stop giving Hollywood money.

If the movie is good, then why not go see it?

If I was able and not been at Basic, I would have gone to see King of the Monmsters to support the movies series.

Just because they are going to make an all female reboot does not mean it is horrible

Pirate it if you really want to watch it. Don't give Hollywood money. You are giving money to rich assholes who love insulting your existence and are entirely hypocritical.

Becuase I want to give money to those companies to show I would love say another movie in said series, or perhaps make more movies like that one.
