HUMINT vs. SIGINT and New Intel Avenues in the IC

We just need more up to date and not so much POS computers. At least here in Korea. We have the best IC in the world, China nor Russia are as good.

but yeah I fully agree!
Not exactly, as Russia's HUMINT abilities are just stupid good. They're probably the best in that area and will be for the foreseeable future. The 'West' mostly focused on SIGINT and Cyberwar because most of the ICs in the 'West' didn't have the sheer institutional knowledge of HUMINT that the KGB and its successor had (which, in turn, inherited the Tzar's internal intelligence service that heavily defected to the Reds... at least the ones with the knowledge and experience).

I work in the IC, and when I say we have the best in the World. We have the best in the World. The HUMINT can only get one so far, as me being SIGINT, it can make everything so much better.

Nope, but that has been something of a fatal flaw in the West IC's outlook. HUMINT is the core of intelligence work, no doubts about it. You get farther by HUMINT resources than SIGINT and Cyberwar resources. That's a sad fact in intelligence work.

That is why the British had been penetrated by one of the most successful spy rings in history and how we completely fucked up seeing the indicators for the Tet Offensive or 9/11.

HAHAHAHAHAHA.
Humint is dying, as Cyber and SIGINT are taking over. You can get a lot more stuff through the later.
HUMINT is only good if the sources are good. Paat that, it is a diffrent story.
Again, I am a SIGINTer....I know the tools of the trade...

Given history, you're wrong in that regard. SIGINT is something that doesn't get you nukes or get you to infiltrate MI5 to the point that you've got at least a person near the top and feeding you immense amounts of information about what they're doing to your other spy rings or literally run rings around the internal intelligence services while 'you can't touch this' goes on in the background (all of which the NKVD and KGB did in the Cold War). HUMINT does.

SIGINT is intercepting communications, and if you want to do more than getting radio signals, you'll need HUMINT to get in and build the rings, setup the taps, find the right people, etc.

Not anymore man, not anymore. There is more then just that for SIGINT, much more.
Sadly.i can not really break it down as it is all classified.
HUNINT is dying in the age if technology.

Then you are an idiot, HUMINT is going to be more vital than ever even as sensor density increases.

Lets not let this thread devolve into a who can ogle which intelligence system the best...

Thing is, it is going to be vital in the future, as Sun Tzu understood that information is vital. Ignore him at your own peril (and life).
SIGINT is replacing HUMINT in the larger scheme. You can get more information through SIGINT and Cyber in shorter time then HUMINT.

Sun Tzu is from a time when intercepting Signals was killing the messenger.

No, Sun Tzu had placed great emphasis on what we know as HUMINT and HUMINT has produced more victories than even SIGINT has in its modern incarnation has in victories and failures. Why the American Revolution lasted until victory was because George Washington was a master spymaster and had a HUMINT network stretching across much of the Colonies. Why the Nazis were so thoroughly fooled before D-Day was through a combination of HUMINT resources feeding the Nazis false information and the Allies making that information look credible.

SIGINT is always a wide net, catching everything in its path. HUMINT is more akin to a fisherman with a fish sonar and a fishing pole. SIGINT has its place but HUMINT is rather decisive.

HUMINT is becoming harder and harder to do becuase of Cyber and SIGINT.

I literally do this fir my job! I know the diffrence, HUMINT has its place, but because of a tech driven world, it is becoming less useful.

Especially here in Korea.

Nope, the weakest link is always the human link. Until you get AGIs, HUMINT is king.

You obviously have no idea what SIGINT and Cyber are capable of it you think Humans are the weakest link...
Humans can lie.
Of course there is more I would like to say but I can not without getting in trouble
