I wasn't goalpost shifting. You either have not understood my point, or are goalpost shifting yourself, but either way don't throw accusations around willy-nilly.
"Labor is pointless gets you nothing and is worthless and everyone involved is a fool"

The sheer lack of interest in nuclear power is frustrating. I mean, for a country like Britain, if we invested in that then our energy problems are effectively solved. I'm not even putting a "for the next thousand years" on that, as nuclear stuff lasts forever. Atop that, Britain would never again need to depend on oil rich countries for supply, thus we could finally cut ties with the fucking Saudis.

Aside from concerns over the political fallout of making oil irrelevant, I see absolutely no reason for not going nuclear.

Western civilization is currently going through its cringe Emo phase, decisions that a few generations ago would have been easy to do because their obvious wins will not be possible until the political cults that have seized power amongst the west die off.

Or essentally pretty much every ones led by morons who think their the moral elect and make every ones lives mirserable because of their overwhening arrogance and self rightousness. When we get out of that phase nuclear will make a massive comeback hopefully by then we will have cracked fusion.

How much of this shit could have been avoided if the Right of yesteryear hadn't been so naive and let the Commies take the schools? I dread to think sometimes.

If it helps remember that the left of yesteryear had a god damned super power funding and bankrolling them for generations, the right did not have that advantage. Now its been what 30 years since the fall of the soviet union? 30 years with out that outside funding and your slowly starting to see more and more cracks in that facade of power.

Its going to take more time and its going to be painful as fuck but things dispite being bad are in some ways easier then the bad old days and its only going to get better for us Once china economically implodes and the boomers mass retirement next year starts sapping the well of other peoples money enmass.

Blink. The decadence and decline phase of Western Civilization began at its height, the High Middle Ages, with Philip the Fair's assault on Spiritual Authority. It's all been downhill from there. By the time we get the Victorian replacement of 'Virtue' with 'Value' and the dysgenic calamity of the WeltKrieg, any sort of glide path to a soft landing was simply out of the question.
