3:00 PM EST: The flag-draped casket of the 34th President was carried from the Washington National Cathedral to a hearse. Cortege moved to 16th & Constitutional Avenue, where the casket was placed on a horse-drawn caisson for the procession.

Funeral procession moving down Constitutional Avenue to the US Capitol for the special ceremony, where "Hail to the Chief" was performed & the 21 Cannon Salute was fired. Eulogy was delivered by President Richard Nixon inside the Capitol Rotunda; presidential wreath was placed by Eisenhower's flag-draped casket & the public viewing began at 5:00 PM EST.
