I've seen some dank may-mays floating around about this setting, so I finally chose to watch the whole thing because hey, it's free.
This was...acceptable. My faint Mid-2000's Cartoon network nostalgia definitely kept me paying attention more than I might otherwise have cared. Disregarding the fact that the style of the show is like a mishmash of melodramatic goth tumblr blogs meets my chemical romance and a few other "punk" emo angst-fueled bands of the 2000's, it certainly wasn't dull. One reviewer was right when he said that the character designs were a bit too complex for regular animations. Lots of little details to worry about.
Charlie feels like the least wacky character design of the show, though I guess that would help when she's just the host to lots of potentially weirder monsters? Alastor was the most interesting villian I've seen in a while, mainly because I liked his retro style and faux-transatlantic manner of speaking.
Like others have said, the jokes were hit or miss, but I can say that they were at least more amusing than uninspired raunchiness like something out of a "movie movie" or south park. The plot? I guess it could work on an episodic basis. I don't know if there's a really spacious market for this particular kind of adult animation, between the Simpsons, Family guys, Big mouths, etc that are out there. Not that I would bother to watch it regularly.
In conclusion:
