Sometimes the best way to honor a man is by looting his neighborhood and setting it on fire.

Don't worry, the looting is in protest, not because people want a television.
Why do these idiots always go after business's that had nothing to do with it and never go after places that actually matter in these riots? I don't get it.

Ugh... tonight was like someone putting a bucket of warm urine on my head and having it slowly seep over me as I heard about what was transpiring.

On the plus side I'm sure the Book section is pristine still.

Well maybe not the romance novels.

Thankfully this Target store was looted by its neighbors, so the only thing that will go up is insurance rates. Hopefully they can pass that onto the local consumer.

Twitter thread showing various places getting looted and vandalized.

So there is a pandemic going on, much of the country has been shut down making what jobs are still there even more valuable the shut down will cause a painful recession. And you make the decision to have a riot and destroy what few jobs there are in your community and insure that you will have less resources and places to buy food from because a police officer who was unrelated to the Target killed a guy.

The looters better not bitch about how not one is investing in their community when this is all over.

I doubt it. Oh, certainly no one's going to care about the dead guy in a few months, much like no one cares about him now, but there's a decent chance partisans will still drag up the incident in the midst of ranting about some other thing for ages.
And the locals will have to deal with the consequences of the rioters ruining their economy. I already heard rumors that some of the rioters were paid agigators.

Oh, lovely. They've sent me a mo-ron.
To the back? Yes, if you have extra combatitive suspect (or asshole cousin).
To the neck? Nope, you have esophagus, two main artheries and the most exposed part of spinal cord there.
You mean the back of the human body? I wouldn't have much opposition to it since police usually from how I see pictures have them pinning suspects to the ground with their entire body on their back.
Pro LEo youtuber who defends both pro and anti dpending on case literally cant so he puts video of fellow Cop youtuber on to explain it better

*pops knuckles* Alright so putting a knee and weight on the neck is a valid thing used by cops, if it is to restrain the suspect to allow them to get handcuffed or to stop them from fighting back. In jail school they say put one knee on the ribs and the other on the neck. they will pass out if they keep fighting you is what should happen, of course worse happens.

As for this, The cop should have gotten off his neck but the whole "I CANT BREATHE" thing is almost never taken at face value by cops because of people saying that when the cops arnt even putting weight on them. I can understand the cop might be thinking "he is just saying that for me to let go" sorta thing. Should the cop have loosened his pressurte? yes for sure! But I am telling you he haas valid reason to not move his leg.
If this makesit harder for cops to do thier job and more cops and innocents die by criminals because a cop put to much pressure on a neck. I may stay in the Army all 20 years...

So that's what civilians don't hear about in the police training especially if military police are involved. This officer though screwed up big time when they're caught on camera doing it and the suspect died later.

If this makesit harder for cops to do thier job and more cops and innocents die by criminals because a cop put to much pressure on a neck. I may stay in the Army all 20 years...
That's what may happen. That video footage is like the Saigon execution video to change perception.

ROUND TWO!

There's a whole Twitter thread showing an ongoing saga and a badass Grandma dropping facts...

For some reason they really like targeting (no pun intended) Target stores. And for some just as stupid reason, the protestors in St. Paul... which is a whole river and a couple miles away from Minneapolis (hence Twin Cities) are assailing their comparatively pristine police department.

Like the differences between the Minneapolis and St. Paul police departments has largely been night and day... the MPD has always had a bad reputation for their shenanigans. But don't let things like completely different cities get in the way of peaceful looting in protest.

Oh it gets worse, I have seen people using the rioters as race baiting and comparing it to the protest in Michigan

And they go after target becuase it is a higher class Walmart and a haven for White people. When i worked there as a seasonal employee years ago 90 percent of the people there coming in wwere white middle calss families. They avoid Walmart because they are stores that are best for those with lower inome.

Maybe.

But there's actually no Wal-marts by the Targets that were looted either in Minneapolis or St. Paul AFAIK. Ironically I think all of the Wal-marts are in the suburbs... though some are close to downtown by being in first tier (diet slum) suburbs and beyond, where it can be catered by poorer White people.

comparing it to the protest in Michigan
there are two big differences, the Michigan protestors did not burn and loot civilian property and the Michigan protestors had guns an body armor.

If they only burned and looted state owned buildings, I would be a lot more sympathetic.

Also, because of the combination of Covid work at home and cloud computing, some state agencies would be unaffected.
