The case should have been completely dropped the instant evidence tampering was exposed.
Yes, but the DA is the worst, so the appointed prosecution attorney might have to wait until she's definitely (no appeals left) off the case to do anything.

"These morons" were pro-riot, they saw them as Mostly Peaceful (tm) protests for muh racial justice or some garbage. Don't mistake malice for stupidity.

The was at least some stupidity involved. My aunt, for example, honestly believed that every single act of violence at a BLM "protest" was perpetrated by white supremacist infiltrators.
Nothing new.In soviet times only idiots belived in good Stalin,evrybody else who supported him did it becouse he genocided some gentry/farmers/catholics/other christian - in other worlds,people who was not progressiwe and should be removed anyway.
Of course,Stalin could purged them,too - but people in West do not cared about that.

I didn't say it was easy I said they should. You don't always get an easy option. I have zero sympathy for anyone in a city that isnt physically being restrained in one. Anything bad that happens in or to a city is good.
Some people may have had family there for generations, voted red, and have deep ties to the city.
