My entire ideology is now boiled down to the fact I want to help the people I like and inflict every possible pain, humiliation and degradation I can on the people who hate me. I will not turn the cheek, I will not forget, I will not forgive and the time for peace comes when we stand on the ruins of the empire of shit they have created.

when the golden rule fails the silver rule of treat other people the way they treat you becomes the standard.

The 'silver rule' has always been more realistic than the 'golden rule'; because the golden rule leaves you open for getting burned time and time again.

Treat people neutrally/civilly/politely if they have done you no harm but not helped you either, and return in kind what they give to you.

Too many people want to be saints and pretend the world is much nicer than it really is.

The golden rule is not something to be handled blindly. Wisdom teaches that allowing people to habitually exploit you is not following the golden rule, for a wise man would not want others to allow him to do that to them either.

A 'wise' person doesn't follow the golden rule at all; a 'wise' person sees how other's act towards them and others, then judges and acts accordingly.

Yeah, gotta say that the whole Jan 6th flag thing...dude stole it to begin with, then burned it.

If it was his own flag, nothing would have come of this; but it wasn't, and just because we do not like BLM or Antifa does not mean it is ok to steal their stuff and destroy it.

Didn't the supreme court rule that the first amendment outweighs those laws? Burning a US flag is protected free speech.
Nope.
US Flag code.
Technically only flags fit to be retired should be burned.
Flag code also has interpretations

June 21 1989, the SC decided that burning the US flag is protected by the 1st Amendment.

Of course as mentioned, the flag we are talking about was stolen..but I doubt the antifa types would get in trouble for stealing a flag and burning it.

The flag code has no enforcement mechanism, it says what you should do with the flag but has no ability to punish you for not following it's directives.
It can be used. It is just hard to get someone to commit a crime fitting exactly what it says.
