I never understood the appeal of Tanya. I suppose I was too weirded out by the fact that they're a man reincarnated into the body of a girl.So?
I love when modern weapons technology is applied to a fantasy/medieval setting, sue me.
Also GATE:
1) Has military tech porn.
2) The elves are mi da hot, especially the dark elf.
3) RORY IS BEAT GIRL!!!!!!111!!!! Seriously, the only rival she has is Tanya Degrucheff from whatever of Tanya the Evil.
Thankfully it seems the old "anime as advertisement for the source material" model that was popular for a while is being phased out in favor of treating the anime itself as the product they're trying to sell. Almost everything is getting additional seasons these days; heck, The Devil Is a Part-Timer has a second season airing right now, nine years after the first one ended.

Yep, that's him. It also has a lesbian couple, if I recall correctly. You need to give them credit for being creative with their ideas.

Yeah, sort of.
Since this is western in origin I think the Seven Seas are your best bet.
Manga publisher in the US that licenses and localizes lots of manga, including ones that have some pretty ecchi content.

P.S it is not anime,but Mysterious cities of gold/Tajemnicze złote miasta/ and Szagma,both french cartoons,are good.I liked see them when i was young.

I used to love that as a kid, but actually it is a co-production between France and Japan. So anime with western influence.
While we are on that subject, Nadia: The Secret of Blue Water is quite similar in concept, being historic adventure fiction with a last heir searching for a lost high tech/alien empire's ruins.
Also, I really don't see why Girls und Panzer won't work.
