Some theatergoers no doubt will resent that Norris chose to illuminate this delicate subject in a nuanced way that doesn’t jibe with their own undiluted revulsion.

Yeah like the case in Buenos Aires where the dude brought in a dead baby and the blood still on his crotch and he got pardoned because the infant belonged to an upper middle class family and he was poor so it would have been classist and a human rights violation to jail or yeet that piece of shit off the nearest skyscraper.

Era's like these do not last forever, an elite can only violate the social contract for so long before they are outest by a new smarter elite. And violating a peoples children is the most primal of violations the kind of stuff that cause blood feuds and destruction.

See, that I think is true 'grand conspiracy' that is going on, which the normies might actually buy into, which is why it is silenced more now.

Society cannot do much about aliens, magic, paranormal crap or centuries old 'plots'.

Knowing the real conspiracy is mutually blackmailing pedo's control a lot of power in the world, that's a more...mundane conspiracy that will also unite groups across many lines, and is within the scope of modern society to deal with.
