To the surprise of no one but the most naive of people, the TSE and STF have denies the request by PL for the annulment of votes. What wasn't expected by most people though was Alexandre using his powers to slap down a 22 million BRL fine on PL for "bad faith litigation". Because of course he did, how dare these "people" question His Word and His Law?

The clock ticks. Tension grows.
What could possibly go wrong?

There are military men on both sides, but a huge majority is on Bolsonaro's side, especially the military types who actually hold the keys to the armories and bases.

And Lula's clique has attacked the Army indeed. They are saying they will appoint a civilian to lead the Ministry of Defense, a first since... Well pretty much ever I think. They have also soured relations with the Police forces, both the Military Police (saying they want to disband it, returning it to being only a police for Army and Military bases and matters) and the Federal Highway Police (The people in charge of keeping the highways and most of the borders safe, down to both floating a literal commie who wants to decriminalize drugs and who thinks we need to take race and social status when deciding to arrest people abd wanting to fire and prosecute a big PRF officer for campaigning for Bolsonaro)

Things will get a lot worse before they get any better. We have out own Qanon type "2 weeks guys" (the meme here being 72 hours to The Big Thing) but said thing isn't really anything more than a strawman. The actual dissatisfaction is coming from truckers and farmers refusing to play ball.

Brazil quickly turning into a Tyler Perry soap opera with chaos 24/7

Oh little side show: some media drama about how a famous artist (and famously lefty) got heckled by Bolsonaro supporters in Qatar.

The response? A politician already pushing a quickly written law to make such "political attacks against individuals" a hate crime.

Brasil: Not for beginners.

Yep. Word is he had been moved to "end of life" care as well. He likely will not see the Hexa.
To add more detail, what was reported was he has a metastatized(sp?) tumor and he's not responding to chemotherapy anymore, so they are going for paliative care. The first part of the news tells me he'll go before the month is out. He may not live to see this World Cup finals, but my guess right now is he'll expire after it.

Damn. My cousin (Becky on my mother's side of the family: Brazilian) told stories on Pele's soccer career, etc

I think there was a movie several years ago about Pele's life story.
