So Bolsonaro finally spoke out and.. Said nothing. All he did was a quick speech where the main message was for his supporters that were protesting to "do not lower yourselves to the level of the Left with violence and stopping people's right to move freely". Far more interesting is the fact he did not conceed but instead said he would "follow the constitution".

After that a aide came and also spoke. His message was even more cryptic. He demanded that the PT made their choice for VP final. Or something. Honeslty I didn't understand it very well. But it sounded serious. (To explain, Lula's VP is Geraldo Alckmin. A old rival neolib equaly connected and corrupted just on the Brazilian center instead of right. The equivalent of a Hillary campaign picking a McCain as a running mate to stop a 3rd party Trump) EDIT: Apparently this is because according to the law here in Brazil the elected VP is supposed to head the transition team, but Alckmin is pretty much MIA for that role atm.

Which brings me to the other weird thing: How... Eerily quiet Lula and PT have been about Bolsonaro's refusal to concees. They have barely mentioned it at all. It's super weird. I expected them to be screaming at him to conceed and accept but they have said almost nothing at all, instead making some propaganda speeches and just taking calls from Globalist leaders for congratulations.

The Gringos are now throwing some gas on the fire too, some people claiming Biden helped put Lula in power. Not helpes by how quickly Biden's congratulations came and how he insisted on repeating "Safe, fair and free elections" mantra.

Rumours are that mayor in Goiás has agreed to supply Bolsonaro protestors with chemical toilets and water. Goiás is a state big in cattle ranchers and they are pretty big fans of Bolsonaro for dealing with the MST threat (Movimento dos Sem Terra, land redistribution people who demand land. Ironically they got more land from Bolsonaro and better results for their "demands" of land to live in with Bolsonaro than Lula or Dilma. Likely because Bolsonaro decides to give them land and take away the power from the upper ring leaders by making the movement obsolete rather than pretend to give land while agreeing to massive political favors and corruption with said management like PT did) and his defense of gun ownership and self defense (for obvious reasons, farmer are skeptical of waiting for cops and would rather be armed)

Trucker protests going on in 16 of 26 states as of now. And it seems things will spread to other voting blocks that favour Bolsonaro, like said farmers...

"Hello, PT folks who are celebrating!
I want to tell a message to the truckers, they are not alone.
See this? this is the rice that you were going to eat.
...And do you see this? These are the machines that will no longer move.
We will stop, the Agro will stop!
Do you know what you're going to eat now? This, mud!
Do you know why? Because we have the right to cotinue as a safra, without planting.
So, don't invade our lands due to improductivity. You will eat MUD. And no, we'll not continue for 72 hours, no.
If this isn't solved, these lands will stay 1 year without planting. 1 YEAR WITHOUT PLANTING.
Let's see what all of you will eat.
See this? I'm not kidding.
No oil, see? This little toy will stay in the garage, stopped.
Here's what we want, the 17 measures of the Ukranize Brazil movement!
No more clowning around, that's it."

Brazil already has favelas full of leftist electorate, do they really need to import more when they already can win elections even with an old, compromised corruptocrat?
Secondly, the left there is allied heavily with greens who absolutely oppose development of the wild territories of Brazil, which rapid growth of population through immigration would naturally imply.
And last but not least, the global population of wannabe mass migrants want to get to a rich country, preferably one that also has a generous welfare system waiting for them. These days Brazil is not much richer than half the shitholes they come from though, which is why what they do have is mostly from nearby extra bad shitholes like Haiti and Venezuela.
You say Vietnam, Philippines? Why the hell would people from there go to a foreign country that's hardly richer than their familiar homeland (especially once you consider the worse gini coefficient) and seems to have worse growth perspectives, the former being some of "Asian tiger" economies?

Importing more could help ensure that victory margins are more decisive, no? Lula only won with less than 51% of the total vote, after all. Not exactly a giant margin!

Theoretically you could build more in Brazil's eastern territories, though the potential there is more limited.

What about India? Isn't India poorer than Brazil is?

With possibility of having "fortified" the elections.

The greenie weenies on Brazil's left hate the idea of building up anything, and it's not like the place is short on menial labor. In fact Brazil has so much spare menial labor and so little areas signed for development officially that illegal logging and mining are a huge thing there (unemployment rate orbiting around 10%).
What about India? Isn't India poorer than Brazil is?
Why would the educated Indians go to Brazil when they can go to USA or UK?
Why would the poor ones go to Brazil when they can't afford to go anywhere, and if they did, why not go to somewhere in the EU that will shower them with money for being poor?

Brazil won't be a major destination for immigration until the USA and Europe close their doors to immigrants.

I'm inclined not to believe claims of election fraud without pretty good evidence, such as that which existed in Ukraine in 2004.

Are the cartels there in charge of illegal logging and mining?

Is the EU actually willing to accept poor Indians in large numbers if these Indians will actually afford to immigrate to the EU? Sure, they're more easily capable of assimilating relative to Muslims, but that's not exactly a very high bar to clear!

Well, the US primarily attracts cognitively elite immigrants outside of Latin America and Europe appears to be getting more and more fed-up with the working-class Muslims whom it has imported in recent decades.

That's Mexico i think.

They already have the non-Muslim Africa for that, and even without Islam problems, such populations tend to have other third world problems too.

Bolsonaro and his family will be moving out of Palacio da Alvorada (Residence of the Brazilian President) on January 1, 2023.

quite simply put I think he knows and understands his movement is too young and doesn't have enough support quite yet to deal with an entrenched and very corrupt political establishment. He's not the end of it by the way this election was very much a poisoned chalice for Brazils left.

Did someone say "Poisoned Chalice"? Sounds something similar to KingSweeden24's timeline "Bicentennial Man" on AH

Working-class Hindus are probably easier to assimilate than working-class non-Muslim Africans, just so long as the working-class Hindus are not as dysfunctional as the Roma are. Here in the US, Hispanics assimilate better than blacks do unless we're talking about elite black immigrants and their descendants.

Anyway, if Europe won't let working-class Hindus in in large numbers, then they could look for other destinations to move to if they will actually have the money for this.

BTW, in terms of values, India isn't all that distant from Brazil:

Considering how poor they are and what civilizational issues they have home, they probably are dysfunctional, and we probably don't want to have a close exploration of the details of how in our backyard.

But what locations need ultra-poor menial labor that in turn would be an upgrade for the latter (yes, Libya, North Korea or Qataris wouldn't say no to more slaves)?

It won't be his movement, not anymore. I expect disillusionment against him and the Armed Forces to start hitting soon. Disillusionment will probably become hatred, especially as the Left settles a lot of scores, mostly against the ones who manged to get some attention, but don't have any political backing. In the end, I don't expect many(if anyone at all) of the highlights of Bolsonaro's movement to have any sort of relevance anywhere.

You're right that it's not the end(it may be, as Churchill once said, 'the end of the beginning'), but there will be some harsh times around for a lot of people.

The main hopespot is how allies and alligned politicians to Bolsonaro are now the majority on Chamber and Senate. They can stonewall and block most of the horrendous shit Lula and his backers want like the end of gig jobs and "mo' money fo dem pograms".
