The Power of a Name by Steve. It dragged me right out of a depressive episode kicking and screaming, and I'm slowly working my way through UF right now. (For those who might not have read it: Multi-crossover with a lot of settings, the MC ends up wearing the Doctor's metaphorical shoes by a slight accident in wording and a bit of bravado. Read iiiit!)

Just An Orthodox Thief by The Infamous Man was pretty good imo, just got done reading it. If you like Fate/Type-Moon and you like Lupin the Third you might like it. (Basic gist: Kirei Kotomine summons Lupin the Third as Assassin instead of one of the Hassans during the Holy Grail War, and shenanigans ensue from that.)

The Enemy of My Enemy by MissAnnThropic was also pretty good I think. Stargate 'fic that mostly follows Jack after a botched mission results with him getting a Tok'ra in his head.

All the three above are complete fics, as well, which is always a plus when it comes to 'fics in my opinion x3

As to an incomplete 'fic, I'm going to rec Quiet Life With Monstergirls by 1ForThePriceof2, because, while its incomplete, Kira trying to accomplish his goal of a 'quiet life' in the 'Daily Life With Monstergirls' setting and watching it slowly turn into essentially the perfect version of his hell amused the crap out of me.

The Name of Love

Far Right Nutjob
Ignition is a Duo SI fanfic that crosses over Fate/Grand Order and Fairy Tale. Spacebattles members Leon/Writerwith badGrammar and Amelia/Aquirs-Chan wake up in the bodies of Avenger Edmond Dantes and Berserker Alter Jeane d'Arc (Summer version) in the world of Fairy Tale. You don't have to be really all that knowledgeable about either crossover to like the story though, because of its trashy premise, it has some very good writing. The SIs are written pretty well, and the writing isn't particularly awkward (though the characters are very socially awkward, as you'd expect a couple of nerds to be). The story was posted just two months ago and is still currently updating.

Changeling Space Program: The space race is on. Can Queen Chrysalis and her hive of enthusiastic, but not-too-bright changelings beat Twilight Sparkle and her friends to the first moon landing? Crossover with Kerbal Space Program.

The Maretian: The race to the moon is over, and the Changeling Space Program and the Equestrian Space Agency are now working on a joint project to reach Bucephalous, the next planet out from their sun. A mishap during testing of Twilight Sparkle's experimental rapid-teleport interplanetary drive system strands three ponies, a changeling, and a dragon in a different universe on a hostile planet with a wrecked spaceship, very little magic, and a rather surprised human named Mark Watney. Crossover with The Martian.

The author does a surprising good job of combining the hard(ish) science fiction of the Kerbal Space Program and the Martian with the magic and fantasy that makes Equestria run. The Changeling Space Program is comical in occasions, dramatic in others and always manage to keep the science explanation simple enough to understand but complete enough to know that he is not simply pulling numbers out of a hat, and when he actually does he is man enough to explain how and why in the author's notes at the end of each chapter (he also adds comical annotations in the body of the fic, not too sciency but frequently hilarious).

The author also does one great job of making the challenges that the crews faces in Mars different from the book in response to the variety of options and dangers that magic and fantastic creatures such as pegasi and changelings bring to the table, by itself the hardest thing to do coherently in any AU of the Martian.

The Strange Disappearance of SallyAnne Perks
Harry recalls that a pale little girl called Sally-Anne was sorted into Hufflepuff during his first year, but no one else remembers her. Was there really a Sally-Anne? Harry and Hermione set out to solve the chilling mystery of the lost Hogwarts student.

A fantastic fic exploring a minor character in Harry Potter who vanished after Book 1. Answering the question: Whatever happened to Sally-Anne Perkins?

For the FEDCOM! For the Archon-Prince!
It gets worse

Y'all might already be familiar with this one, but I'm re-reading this again and had to share.

Worm story. Taylor triggers, but gets mostly passive powers based around probability manipulation. I.e. extremely good luck. Good luck that shares it's humour with a Bugs Bunny cartoon.

I read this once years ago and never bookmarked it. I found it again and sharing it here.

Fic: "Serenterprise-D" (Firefly/Star Trek: The Next Generation crossover)
By: inlovewithnight
Summary:
Captain's personal log, supplemental to official entry regarding transdimensional phenomena around the Coronas Wormhole Field:
Note to self, stop picking up ships that come out of wormholes. It always ends in tears.

Two of my favorite comedy fics on FIM.

FIM Story: Rescue
By: Abramus5250
Summary: A long, long time ago, there was a knight who set out on a noble quest to save a fair maiden and, if possible, slay the dragon keeping her captive.

Only... things don't always go as planned.

On the natural rise and fall of celestial bodies
By: Georg
Suimmary: Princess Cadence and Princess Twilight Sparkle are called to Canterlot to take over two very important responsibilities: The Sun and the Moon

It seems a trend here to suggest MLP fanfics... so I have one here.

Rebel Against the Night
An evil force from another universe invades the world of Code Geass, and the human race will never be the same again.

@AndrewJTalon Be sure to share any more of these that are suitable for us non-MLP fans. I have found that MLP is a pretty good setting for stories, but that is my non-brony opinion, it is like Guile's theme...
