Suggestions Exclude threads of the 'Community' board from appearing in the 'Latest posts' column.

This universe is made of knives.
The Sietch is not a right wing politics forum, it is an open-minded science fiction enthusiast forum. However, the political aspect has been known to scare people out of checking Us for Our on-topic threads. Therefore, ON TOPIC DISCUSSION (hypotheticals, forum games, and creative discussion) should be forced to be the ONLY material that the front page so explicitly promotes with the small bar of active threads, and people should have to out of Their way to check on whatever controversies the politics and news boards are talking about. That bar is feeding a death spiral right now, and it is time to amputate the tumor.
No, this is not "pandering to people that hate Us", it means showing newcomers and unfrequent visitors that there is something of genuine interest offered up by going to The Sietch, and not just outrage (if You're unsympathetic to local politics) and dread (if You are sympathetic).
University of Sietch may deserve exceptions, not that it is very active.

Not going to lie, I don't like this idea. It reads a lot like when Reddit put in special rules so The_Donald couldn't ever appear on the front page regardless of it's views/upvotes.

Starts with a single thing being censored, then another, and before you know it, the site is garbage.

A subforum is a subforum is a subforum, the only two logical conclusions is that either all subforums should have equal ability to appear on the latest posts area.

Or users should be able to filter to their preferences.

The moderation team is, for obvious reasons, made entirely out of political discussion regulars (the only kind of Sietch regular), so how would the rest be persecuted under this change? This isn't about repressing unwanted cultures, it's about showing the actually unique characteristics of The Sietch because - news and politics are secretly the lowest common denominator of these times. Everyone is forced to have an opinion about those, thereby anyone can talk about them anywhere, and therefore political discussion is not the edge of this website.
That's why no discussion forum can survive off of its political section alone, they need some other draw, like the creative content that is unique to this website.

This forum 'has' heaps of discussion areas and creative areas that are non-politics related.

BARELY ANYBODY USES THE DAMNED THINGS! The forum is fine, those using it aren't.

All righty motherfuckers I made a non-political thread that is informative and kewl, I expect the people complaining about too much politics stuff to reply to it or you are being naughty naughty hypocrites who need a spanking! D:<<<

I did it again, making a non-political thread! Read it and comment in it, if you dare!

In all seriously I'd highly appreciate comments, discussion and such! WW2 is a neat topic and I am sure we all love things that go bang and kaboom. ;D
