The really funny thing about going through this thread is in seeing just how many of the tweets are no longer available because they've either been deleted or the accounts were suspended. :giggle:

As far as the architecture discussion, undoubtedly they'd find me to be a super-Nazi because I'm quite fond of art deco.

Gonna be honest.... I'm pretty dumb. I don't get most of these burns, comebacks, and other clever statements.

By which I mean I've read the entire thread and not seen one where I've gotten the joke.

Isn't everyone fond of Art Deco? It's an inherently attractive architectural style, that's why people used it.

I mean, there's something to be said for simple Brutalisim, but the more post-post modern architecture styles tend to have geater inefficiency than Art Deco and are less designed for human usage... Unfortunately the 'design for the user first' (sometimes called 'human centric') architectural styles are universally unpopular. They're not eye-catching and they're not cheap, even though they improve the efficiency and satisfaction humans within and are typically designed for reduced difficulty of maintenance (though not reduced expense).

Despite their visual appeal, anything by Frank Lloyd wright is shit that's designed to make the people within uncomfortable and produce predictable and regular maintenance disasters due to normal weather conditions.

Probably only has experience with a rapid prototyper that uses only ABS plastic.
No, he said 'additive metal manufacturing still sucks'; additive metal manufacturing could be compared with 3D printers if you simplify things somewhat - although AFAIK, the state-of-art metal fabricators don't suck at all.

It depends heavily on the technique and it still costs a hell of a lot of money.

So does CNC, but you can get some decent low end, low cost CNC options.

Regarding the last part of the sentence - oh, yes. The most important thing, IMO, is that it probably won't stay that way, but that's another story.
