I knew he was rich. I didn't know he was this rich. He surpassed Jeff Bezos who held the honor since 2017 and whose wealth is still rising.

But with Teslas rising stock portfolio Elon Musk is worth 185 billion dollars and Tesla valued at 700 billion which is more then Toyota, Volkswagen, Hyundai, GM and Ford combined. This is despite it only making it's first profit about a year ago and still being small time in that category to any of the major car brands.

Yeah Tesla's value should only rise with the new administration as well no doubt, as the article also touches on, because of how Tesla is intertwined with the push towards reducing carbon emissions and the push towards green energy in the automobile sector and that's obviously something the Democratic administrations tend to be far more passionate and ardent about pursuing.

It's more about the publicity of a person. There are many public figures. And they also have to hire people for various routine jobs. There are not a million hours in a day.

Is there a title worthy of Elon Musk?

Apparently he's found one.

All hail the TechnoKing!

Thats not the only Monarchist retitling thats occurring at Tesla either!
Fuck it, he deserves the title, and frankly I'd prefer a King Musk to the gov and political system we have now.

Not in favor of a king...but I would like him to get more involved in our political system and start fighting this madness that has taken hold lately.

What we need is a right wing NLG and a rightwing SPLC
The issue is that groups like the SPLC are coasting on prior legitimate work that's recognized by society. I mean, they did, legit, cut their teeth fighting the Klan and actual Institutional Racism. There's no right wing equivalent of such organizations because such legitimacy comes not from the institution itself, but from media and other institutional recognition.

Yes, but we need to start somewhere. We need a legal orgs to provide free legal assistance to our dissidents and wage lawfare on the system.

Unfortunately him being from South Africa means he is not eligible for POTUS, and anything below that is a waste of his and everyone else's time.

Now if he were to found a new political party (say the 'Mars or Bust Party') that might be something that could be useful.

. . .

We have... like... for decades, they're generally specialized in certain areas of law (which is also true of the progressive ones) and so maybe you've not heard of some of them?

American Center for Law and Justice (aclj.org) - Has been defending religious free exercise in the public square since the 90s and won multiple cases before the Supreme and other Courts. Also was one of the conservative organizations warning the DOMA was stupid and wouldn't withstand Constitutional scrutiny back when it was originally proposed, and that the entire thing was just quicksand that would fall quickly before a real court challenge.

FIRE (thefire.org) - Active since the 00s and focused on free speech on college campuses. While ostensibly non-partisan, given the ideological bias on college campuses, this means they're constantly protecting conservative and right-wing speech.

Judicial Watch - Also active since at least the 90s, responsible for finding out a LOT of the corruption in the Obama administration and digging into progressive activities in government via FOIA requests.

HSLDA - Making homeschooling possible - Active since the 80s, literally the primary organization responsible for the expansion of legal homeschooling throughout the US. Lots of successful litigations on that matters, but, I'll grant, narrowly focused on it as well.

Thomas More Law Center | The Sword and Shield for People of Faith - Not as personally familiar with this one, but similar to the ACLJ in its mission and focus.

And this is just off the top of my head plus a quick wikiwalk. I'm sure there are many others. They're just not as well known as the progressive ones because the mainstream media doesn't prop them up.

The irony of FIRE is that they initially started out defending left-leaning people and centrists from right-wingers. One of the first things they fought against where so-called "free speech zones" where you could criticize Bush and the war on terror and all that. It amazes me to think how sharply the balance has tilted in such a sort amount of time.

Emperor Musk comments from his fortress on Olympus Mons: "We've learned a lot from this great dying, and expect to do better in the next test, which is scheduled for next month."

Elon Musk is throwing shade on Apple and others... like annoying news media.

For example:

New York Post said:
“It is our goal to support the advent of sustainable energy. It is not to create a walled garden and use that to bludgeon our competitors, which is sometimes used by some companies,” Tesla’s self-proclaimed “Technoking” said during an investor call Monday.

Musk then coughed and added, “Apple” — an apparent reference to the battle between the iPhone maker and app developers like Epic Games over Apple’s strict App Store rules and high fees.

Musk made the comments in response to a question about Tesla’s plans to open up its “supercharger” network to electric vehicles made by competitors.

and

New York Post said:
Elsewhere in the investor call, Musk referenced Apple’s use of cobalt — a rare element used by both Tesla and Apple that has been tied to the use of deadly child labor.

“There’s somehow a misconception that Tesla uses a lot of cobalt, but we actually don’t,” he said. “Apple uses I think almost 100 percent cobalt in their batteries in cellphones and laptops… On a weighted average basis, we might use 2 percent cobalt compared to, say, Apple’s 100 percent cobalt.”

Tesla is developing the Tesla Bot, a humanoid robot that is advertised as being "friendly" and will eliminate "dangerous, repetitive and boring" tasks. They're expecting a prototype to be released sometime next year.
