I find it unlikely that Lake will win any of these appeals.

Part of our problem is that any judge that rules in favor of Lake will have their lives utterly destroyed. The left will harass them, prosecute them, try and get them disbarred, and perhaps even physically assault them and their families.

And for good or ill, no one has the same fear of offending the right as they do of the left. No one other then a saint or a fanatic would ever rule for Lake regardless of the law. And those kinds of people tend not to end up as high powered judges.

I admit that the situation is not completely hopeless. Some Trump judge or the Supreme Court might turn things around.
