[1] If I get in trouble I'll cast firewall and close the door behind me, wait for the death scream.
[2] In addition to the above, forward the transcript to Marshal Lucy Lloyd, she'll clearly appreciate it.

Team play is best play.

The team dispersed as soon as the meeting was finished. As you left the conference room to head out yourself, two of your fellow FBI Agents were waiting outside the room and unlike nearly everyone else in the office, both of them were open carrying while in the office, wearing their tee shirts and black utility pants, the former with large yellow lettering that had FBI printed on the front and back. The two agents looked pretty athletic and fit and though it took a moment, you recognized them rather readily as coming from the local tactical team assigned to this Field Office.

They were your personal tactical team that you asked for, and your Boss graciously offered on extremely short notice for the course of your investigation. The slender blonde woman extended her hand to you first. "Agent Masser and this is my partner, Agent Wayne," she then said in a calm voice, a soft smile crossing her face. "Agent-in-Charge said you requested tactical support. Well we got you covered," the woman said, cocking her head to the side a bit. "We're more then shooters too if you need another team in the field as well."

"We do like shooting though," the African-American man, Agent Wayne, then said with a similar smile, illustrating maybe he was only half joking.

"Kitted out and ready to roll in fifteen minutes or your money back," the young woman then added with a nod. "Is there anything you need right now by the way? Don't wanna keep you, just wanted to touch base."

[1] Ask them to just be ready so when called upon, they will be available on short notice.
[2] Inform them to read up on the notes you've made available on your current investigation. If they're more then shooters, might as well give them the opportunity to assist beyond tactical support.

Butchers Shop

It looked like a normal Butchers shop and was located only about six blocks away from Ken Brac's residence. According to the surveillance team you had at the apartment, he hadn't departed or left the building yet and had been made aware of keeping you informed as you headed to the modest meat market, nestled in a bit of a brick and mortar style sidewalk shoppe style commercial area. There was a glass windowfront which showed the insides of the small business and as you stepped inside it you could almost smell the hardwood floors and walls. The display was glass but the whole store had a bit of a 'rustic' style feel. The cuts of meat were kept in the refrigerated display cases and there were freezers for rarer and less popular cuts of meat.

Speaking of which, there was the full range. Stuffed pork and chicken breasts, to a variety of sausages and burger patties, to full cuts of pork, fish, beef and other animals and even stuff like fresh salmon or steak tartare that could be ordered in advance. Thankfully it wasn't particularly busy and one of the women behind the counter waved you to come forward, not even needing a number.

The employee offered a brief smile as you asked for the Manager, clearly assuming you were more of a dissatisfied guest then anything as she made a hasty retreat to a backroom, appearing a moment later with an older, potbellied gentlemen who was in the process of taking off a butchers apron with some reddish smears across its front. He washed his hands in a sink before walking around the butcher shops display area and walked up to you, a smile on his face. "Hello. I'm the Manager here, the owner is on vacation. How can I help you?"

"If I could just have a moment of your time Sir," you state as you produce your wallet and hold it open, revealing your FBI badge. "Is there an office or something we can talk in privately? It's a law enforcement matter. I'm with the FBI."

The Butcher Managers face widened a bit in genuine surprise before he took it all in and his body language relaxed. "Sure. C'mon back," he then said, waving for you to follow him past the displays and towards a side office whose entrance was within view of the main area of the shop.

"So what's this all about Officer?" he then asked, offering you a seat in front of his desk.

"Agent," you state with a smile as you take the seat. "I'm inquiring about one of your customers. His name is Ken Brac," you say, reaching into your case and producing a picture of him, briefly laying it on the desk but never letting it go as he takes a good look at the image.

"Yeah. I actually recognize him. He comes in... about twice a week. Has been for the past several months actually. Is he..." the man started to ask before catching himself and shaking his head to the side a bit. "I guess I don't wanna know."

"I just want to know his purchasing habits and if anything stood out with your interactions with him, or any of your staff," you reply calmly.

"Well... no...." the manager said, pondering it all for a long moment. "Actually... he only purchases full cuts of meat. That's not extraordinary. Often large cuts. Beef and pork mostly. Full chickens and other poultry on occasion."

"What does he pay in?"

"Cash all the time."

"Does he ask for any special orders?"

"He orders large cuts but usually from the display. He comes in regularly though so we have large rib roasts and steaks and the like usually available." The manager paused a moment, thinking on it. "Actually..." he said shaking his head. "He does do special orders. Whole pigs. Cleaned and dressed. For roasting. He actually ordered one for tonight... I'm totally scatter brained."

"Does he pick it up by himself?" you ask in followup.

"No actually. He brings someone else. Someone that came in here when he first showed up almost a year ago," the Manager then replies. "I... can't place the face though..."

[1] Ask the Manager if you can search his business records and surveillance.
[2] Inform the FBI Field Office to ask for a Warrant to go through the Businesses records and surveillance.

"But he's picking up a pig tonight you say?" you then ask to make sure.

"Yes. At five o'clock. Bit late to pick up a pig even if it's already cleaned and dressed to roast for dinner but... " the Manager then said, his voice trailing off.

[1] Ask if you can plant a tracking device on the roast pig being prepared for Ken Brac tonight.
[2] Make a note of having someone survey this Butchers Shop a few hours before the scheduled pickup.
[3] Have Tactical Agents Masser and Wayne establish surveillance on this location.
[4] Ensure the FBI Agent Team surveying Ken Brac shadows him when he moves out... including to this location.
[5] Take no action at the moment.

As soon as your meeting at the Butchers shop was done you received a text response from Marshal Lloyd.

"Pretty creepy but I'm glad I made an impression. :) "

It was then you received another call as soon as you made it into your car, it was from your partner Jimmy.

"Good news. Everything seems above board here. No waterboarding or anything. Ah.... they managed to convince their thief to cooperate and are planning on making the delivery of the weapons to the Black Dragons auto body shop. The OCP security guys will have the bugs planted on the weapons as you directed. According to their interrogation, he just drops the weapons off here and is paid at a separate dead drop later though. I'm guessing that they take the weapons to a different car, probably a clean vehicle, and then transport it to whoever the buyer is. Did you want one of us to remain here to make sure things are going smoothly? Most of the legwork is already done."

[1] Leave Frank in place to oversee things with OCP. Report back to me Jimmy.
[2] Leave Jimmy there to oversee the OCP operations and have Frank return back.
[3] Trust the OCP security to have the delivery monitored and on schedule. Make both Jimmy and Frank available.
[4] Trust Jimmy and Frank remain there to ensure the operation goes smoothly.

Thankfully the Manager wasn't insistent on a warrant when you asked him to check his records. It didn't take much time to confirm from surveillance that Ken Brac indeed was a regular customer here and the Manager's recollection was generally correct in his buying habits. It did take a bit longer time to find out the last time Ken Brac had visited the Butchers Shop with someone else but thankfully the purchase of entire pigs was rare enough that the Manager was able to go through the sales orders for that particular custom order and then you were able to pull up the tapes from that day. It looked like Bannak was the one accompanying him the last time he had visited here and helped him carry the pig away.

"So uhhh.." the Butchers Manager then asked as you were busy finishing up going over the surveillance and pulling screenshots from it. "You expect these guys to be ah.... coming in again right?" he then asked as you lifted your head up and nodded. "They're not like... dangerous or... I mean like... I served.... 67 to 69 in Vietnam. So I'm not like... afraid or anything. I'm just a worrier," the older Manager then said, almost taking on a rambling tone as he spoke, his body language showing a bit of unease. It was clear that while you hadn't offered any details on your investigation, he was clearly aware something was amiss with these two customers.

[1] [Deflect and Reassure] "Thank you for your assistance so far. We truly appreciate your cooperation."
[2] [Reason] "Just because I am investigating these two does not mean they will present a danger to you or anyone else here. As far as you are concerned, in relation to these two, it's business as normal."
[3] [Calm] "Everything will be fine. Just treat them like any other guest. Okay?"

As soon as the Manager returned back to the floor, you had something else to check on now and with Jimmy staying at the OCP facility, there might be the opportunity to dig a little deeper.

[1] Ask Jimmy for any potential dates that their thief might've grifted or stolen weapons from OCP for delivery to the Black Dragons. Cross reference it for the date that Bannak and Ken Brac last picked up their special order here at the Butchers Shop.
[2] In addition to the above, cross reference all the dates Jimmy might provide with surveillance at this Butchers Shop. It will likely take more time and more assistance from the Manager to dig up.
[3] Just take down this one date, it can be cross referenced later. It'll save time if the drop is happening later, and maybe prevent the Butchers Shop manager from potentially being more aggravated by your presence.
