Better to pay climate reparations to ordinary Third Worlders (rather than corrupt Third World elites) than to have ordinary Third Worlders move en masse to the West.
I have a counter idea, how about we send them all the greens to help them out with things in their countries. You know, extracting cobalt and lithium and all the other hard to dig up rare minerals needed for battery powered cars.

It would be reparations in labor instead of in money. :)

Good idea. Western leftists who love POC more than white people should be encouraged to move to the developing world, where they'll never get exposed to any white people other than themselves. Seriously. And it would allow them to use their talents to benefit POC who are especially underprivileged and also provide them with some badly needed white booty lol! :D ;)

You would inflict someone like Alyssa Milano on some poor Third World Country?

No climate reparations of any kind, as it would mean degrading the living standards of the First World. How about giving technical expertise for a discount price to the Third World and get them to develop their own manufacturing capabilities while simultaneously helping the same Third World also develop an entrepreneurial class as well? And to add the proverbial cherry on the top, have the State assume the responsibility and role of printing money and abolish their own Central Banks too? No usury means no financial exploitation, which also means no social tensions.

Once you pay the Danegeld, you never get rid of the Dane.
The causal relationship here is completely opposite to what you imply it is.
The only way to prevent third world bumrushing of the West is to somehow ensure their compatriots that those who do so will be made to seriously regret this decision.
If they don't, or worse yet, they get rewarded for it once they arrive, they will never stop doing it, and demanding Danegeld for not going there.

Hilariously enough, Danegeld is called so on account of the vikings of Denmark, who would demand money in exchange for not visiting a place to practice their traditional customs of pillaging and generally being a pain in the ass, surprising how Europe has such an accurate yet old term for this activity already.

You know that times are tough when one part of the Deep State bureaucracy starts going after another part, and when the rubber stamp idiots no one bothers to vote for find their teeth.

Let us see what happens.

Buildings directive: EU Parliament moves to save mandatory energy performance standards

According to a document seen by EURACTIV, Green MEP Ciaran Cuffe, the chief negotiator on the file, managed to wrestle a compromise that is more ambitious than the Commission’s initial proposal.

By 2027, lawmakers want all buildings owned by public bodies to achieve at least the energy performance class “E”, one grade higher than the Commission’s initial proposal. From 2030, they should reach “D”.

For residential buildings, the most sensitive aspect of the law, lawmakers wants to aim for class “E” by 2030 and class “D” by 2033, similarly being more ambitious than the EU executive.

But the support of the conservative EPP group came at a cost: lawmakers agreed to several derogations that allow EU countries to exempt their buildings from the mandatory renovation requirements for 10 years.

For instance, EU countries would be allowed to exempt publicly owned social housing, should renovations “not be cost neutral” or “lead to rent increases for people living in social housing that cannot be limited.”

Similarly, EU countries can apply to amend and water down their minimum standards for “reasons of economic and technical feasibility and the availability of skilled workforce,” although the European Commission must opt to accept or reject the request.

The Parliament’s tentative compromise deal also reads that these exemptions should be limited to 22% of buildings and can only be relied upon until 2037.

Additionally, lawmakers also opened the door to heating with hydrogen: when buildings are renovated or constructed, hybrid appliances running on gas and hydrogen would be exempted from a ban on fossil heating.

“This is a rhetorical trick to extend the operation of fossil gas boilers, with the consequence of artificially expanding the lifespan of gas infrastructure for a few decades,” explains Adeline Rochet, senior advisor at the green think-tank E3G.

You know, I love riffing on the US and UK and Canadian cuckservatives, but ours, like the treasonous EPP/anything anywhere labeled "Christian-Democrat", are not far off, in fact they are worse.

Do not wory, thanks to lack of money EU would fall before that.
How funny, you are saying almost the exactly same thing a few Bulgarian right-wingers said.

To which I responded and will respond again.
