What If? Doom Eternal, uninvited visitors during the fall of Earth

So the demon invasion starts in earnest and militaries of the world are thrown into disarray (no small thanks to betrayal by UAC), remaining forces trying to defend shrinking pockets of surviving population against seemingly unending hordes of mortality challenged, trying to evacuate as many people as possible. With space control in shambles, the short time tear in reality at the edge of the solar system, that spits out a fleet of massive space ships is simply not noticed. It is not until the ships reach the orbit of the Earth, that the radio contact is established with one of the pockets, the commander of the incoming force demanding to speak to whoever leads the forces loyal to the Emperor. After some misunderstandings, both sides come to understanding that the world never heard of this Emperor and according to the High Marshall ''the Great Crusade most likely didn't reach them''. The embattled Earth forces accept the assistance and the High Marshall of Black Templars declares the Earth Crusade.

Can the Black Templars and Earth forces hold out until the Doom Slayer turns the tide? Ortillery is certainly on the menu.

Probably yes, will do a morale boost and it helps that somehow guns can kill demons from hell

Total Nuclear Annihilation was seen as the only option for Earth in dealing with the Super Gore Nest that popped up in Central Europe and largely facilitated the Invasion of Earth by Hell forces. As per the game, the Super Gore Nest when it was first being activated resisting an assault by and I quote "Assembled Coalition Strike Force included 4 US Battle Mech divisions, the Con-EUR Long Range Naval Artillery Barrage Fleet, 27 US Night Bird Apaches, 3 NATO Shock Troop battalions, 2 CON-EUR Rapid Response Levi-Tank divisions, and 18 thousand coalition Special Forces units."

Eight thousand Gargoyles counterattacked the Naval Fleet, sinking thirty two ships and forcing the rest to withdraw back another thirty two miles out to sea and thus out of bombardment range. The Battlemech Divisions and Apaches then apparently bombarded the Super Gore Nest while the aforementioned 3 NATO Shock Troop battalions and eighteen thousand Special Forces units conducted a rearward assault and actually managed to get several platoons to penetrate deep enough into the reactor area where the Super Gore Nest was actually located around but still failed to destroy said Super Gore Nest.

However a fleet of Space Marine style warships should be able to do a better job. It is curious to wonder why Earth didn't start dropping nuclear warheads on the Super Gore Nest because then we'd have an idea on the ballpark range of how effective (or perhaps ineffective) orbital bombardment would be. As it is, conventional bombardment didn't seem to work very well. But if the Black Templars can just destroy the Gore Nests from orbit, that would certainly lessen the intensity of the Hell invasion.

Though it wouldn't stop the invasion.
