I'm somewhat surprised that partial agreement costs us more than twice as much support as a flat no.

Partial agreement is tacitly calling out the politicians for their sneaky-ass plan, so IMO it makes sense that it displeases them more than it just not succeeding.

A View From the Ice Part 4

Michal, Misha and Old Leopold sat in the corner of the bar as people moved around them celebrating just to be alive and free again with both former prisoners and people from Griffins Roost drinking, dancing and talking together like old friends.

The Dracs had gone they were getting the tendons and bones of civilisation set up as former prisoners, and their new allies worked in the snow and ice to get new generators set up, better-insulated shelters set up, roads and all other such infrastructure to ensure they could survive and thrive here. The food they had sent along with other goods had proved to be mana from the heavens they had even sent chocolate which they had seen given to the young children of the former camp first.

To see their eyes light up as they got the old luxury had warmed many a heart.

Things had been going very well they'd even after a debate and a vote on it the former prison camp had its name changed to something more fitting to remind them of home.

Old Leopold stood, and the whole room went silent as they waited on the old man's next words.

"To the people of NowY Gdańsk and our new friends," Old Leopold said, "May the dreams of our people never die! Twoje zdrowie!"

"Twoje zdrowie!" the whole taproom yelled and downed their drinks.

The Old Leopold sat heavily down and looked over at his son chatting to one of the soldiers who came from Griffins Roost with a smile on his face.

He then looked back at them and said, "I'm glad the Koszmar is over, and my son is healthy," the smile fell from his face, "we must prepare though for their return and retaking our homeland according to Jake we have time, but they could break the ceasefire if they so wished."

"Yes," Misha said with a smile at the old man, "we must prepare, but for now we let our people celebrate they have suffered much they have earned this moment of happiness."

Michal nodded at her and grinned, "They have, but we have come out of it stronger we will rebuild, and we will go back and liberate our people. Zrzeszenie Wolność I Niezawisłoś."

----

The next day all three of them stood out on the cleared area they were using as a rough Dropport with ground crews made up of Armia Keajowa and ground crews of AFGR. They stood with Michals old platoon awaiting their important guests. Around the perimeter stood the rest of the Armia Keajowa keeping an eye on the crowd with infantry from AFGR assisting them in holding back the crowd that had gathered.

Michal sent a silent thank you to an old seamstress, and several tailors had managed to throw together what looked like the old winter uniform of the Nowa Warszawa. Though, with the Armia Keajowa symbol in place of the Nowa Warszawa flag for the Armia Keajowa forces they had trained up, it made them feel more like a military unit than a scratch militia.

"Can't believe they are sending them to us," Young Leopold said he looked to his father, "We believe we got all the snake scum, but there could always have been one who slipped through the cracks."

"Yes that is why we aren't taking any chances," Old Leopold said as he scanned the drop field waiting for the incoming dropship, "never expected to be getting royal visitors so soon."

"Aye," said Michal, "I put the Armia Keajowa on alert and spoke to Major Park of the AFGR were coordinating with them for the drop though they don't seem to bothered."

"Looks the way, sir," said Sierżant Rowecki, "whatever they must be brought for an escort must make any assassination laughable wish we could get some guns off them I miss my old Grot Rifle and if the dracs comeback I'd rather be able to shoot back even if it doesn't do any good against their walkers."

"Same Sierżant," said Michal.

"Whatever the case," Misha said, looking over at Katlyn, "they re bring more medical equipment and medicine we need we are still having people go down from frostbite."

Katlyn nodded, "Not as many as we did at the start of the nightmare and their doctors have been miracle workers but...." she looked at Misha's scared face.

"you'd rather have more than less," Old Leopold said, "given the situation, I can't blame you."

It was then they saw the dropship burners cutting through the atmosphere decelerating it and landing on the landing field steam rising around as the flame melted snow that had blown onto the cleared runway.

Steam rose and as the burners cutout and the Dropship settled the was USS Enterprise the first dropship of Griffins Roost along with HMS Hariss. Each of the leaders and their aides wondered if the Dracs never came how long it would have been till Nowa Warszawa built something like the Enterprise.

The door opened on the Harris, and Michal felt his hand twitch to a non-existent pistol at his side, and he heard Old Leopold and his son curse. He also felt Rowecki and Misha tense, ready for violence or to run.

However, what he heard from Katlyn shocked him, "oh, they are absolutely adorable."

That brought involuntary laughter from everyone, as they looked to see what could only be described absolutely massive black tigers with glowing blue stripes.

Michals eyes narrow as he saw them scanning around obvious threats as they spread out into the snow. It was then the doors of the enterprise open and out came their two royal visitors with the Tiger in-between them and their more human bodyguards.

They walked forward the rest of Michal's old platoon following behind them nervously as they made their way behind them. The tigers zeroed in on the group moving up towards them.

"Damn," said Rowecki, "they are bigger than I expected."

"Intelligent too," said Misha, "if the what the Grifs told us is right."

"That to ma'am," Rowecki said glancing at the closet Tiger, "still I would not want to get on the wrong side of them."

They reached the people who just got off the dropship, "your grace's welcome to Nova Gdansk."

"Nice to finally visit," Willis said, "I've only spoken with your people through vid messages, this is my daughter Sarah who is currently studying history."

"Nice to meet you all, Sarah," said smiling at them.

"And this is Bastet," said Sarah, "unfortunately her board isn't configured for Polish."

Bastet eyed the small crowd chuffed in acknowledgement then went and licked all the Nova Gdansk party causing the two Royals to smile.

"It's a sign Bastet likes you all," Sarah said.

"Pleasure to meet you all," said Michal, "As you know I'm Michal head of the Armia Keajowa with my aide Sierżant Rowecki," pointing at his old friend, "To my right is Old and Young Leopold's who presentative of labours and in charge of labour, supply and distribution."

He then looks over at Misha and Katlyn, "this is Misha and Katlyn they represent the women and medical concerns of our people."

They went wrong shaking hands and in Katlyn case tentatively patting then hugging Bastet.

"She has always had a soft spot for cats," Misha said, "We best get into the meeting room."

As they walked towards the meeting room, they saw Sarah and Bastet run a bit ahead of them playing the snow with some of the other tigers bringing a smile to everyone's face.

----
They were in a meeting room which they used for the business of running NowY Gdańsk. Mainly because the doors were wide enough to let Basset in without much difficulty. A small pot of tea had been laid out, and everyone gratefully took a mug and sat down.

When Misha took her muff off, he could see Sarah start a little at her scared face, but she hid her reaction quickly.

After some small talk, Willis said, "anyway thought it would be best if one of us Royals came up here as the process of establishing formal relations with you and Sarah and Bastet tagged along to see the snow."

That drew a chuckle from old Leopold, "and play in it with the other Tigers if their antics on the way here are anything to go by."

That made everyone laugh and Willis said, "I guess they wanted to have fun they are also here to help with security since we thought battlemechs would be impolitic."

"Yes, I imagine they would," Misha said with a small smile, "Still we are glad for the extra security amongst other things."

"Emm," Sarah said and looked around the table, "can I ask a question?"

"What is it, child?" asked Misha as she looked over to the seat Katlyn had taken and was quietly cooing over basset.

"What's your world like?" Sarah asked, "NowA Warszawa?"

Misha looked to Michal and Old Leapold who smiled at her and then she said, "It is a cold but beautiful world it is in the ideal zone for human life but much colder than the old homeworld, our people are descendants of those who were cast out by the Terran Alliance and sailed the stars until we found a world like our old home country. She has one large continent Warsaw with two smaller sister Krakow and Witold and several large archipelagos of islands." Misha smiled, "her climate is cool as I said with various mammals that evolved they're like the Mężczyzna Wilk which can be a hostile predator though some have been tamed and used like dogs."

"You and Misha have something in common she studied the history of NowA Warszawa," said Michal with a smile, "she can talk your ear off later if you like."

Sarah smiled, "I'd love that."

"As would I," Misha said with a smile at the younger girl.

Willis then cleared his throat, "I'd hate to ask this but how did your world fall to the Drac's we need to know what it's like so when we go back out we can help you."

All of them looked to Michal who clenched his fist sighed, "that is a hard topic for most of us, but you need to understand something first."

He leant back looking Willis dead in the eye, "We aren't like Griffins Roost," Michal said, "We lost a lot of technology from before we were cast out we had only recently regained space flight before the Dracs came and were sending shuttles into space and are armour was mainly conventional aircraft and tanks with a lot of infantry."

Then he closed his eyes, and he was back there in the chaos remembering the smells as crews cooked inside their Grom tanks and the screams as his fellow soldiers fought hard but died against a threat they never had in the wildest dreams thought to face and the screams of the civilians as they fled or were crushed on the dracs.

What was even worse when the Dracs aerospace fighters had dropped incendiaries into the mass he shudders as he hears their screams all over again. Then he is pulled out of it feels and hand on his shoulder and opens his eyes, seeing Misha beside him.

He rests his hand on hers, "Forgive me those mroczny dni still haunts me."

"It's alright," Willis said, and Michal nodded.

"To continue," Michal said forcing down the old wounds, "they landed we tried to fight back, but it was a blood bath they rolled over the Winged Hussar formations sent to meet them and burned into our cities slaughtering our forces where they attempted to fight back and eventually overwhelmed the assembly and claimed victory all in almost a week of fighting."

"My God," Willis said.

"But we refuse to die easily," Michal said with a cold smile, "like our ancestors, we formed the Armia Keajow and have been fighting back with mainly improvised weapons, irregular warfare, IED and refusing to give up and die for those bastards, we have been giving them a hard fight, or so it was when I left."

"Could they still be fighting," Sarah asked.

"More than likely," Misha said, "we will continue to fight they will not crush us like maggots, and we will gut them whenever and where ever we can."

"Yes," Michal said, "and hopefully in time we will push them out of our homeworld and liberate our people."

Turn 29 - You Could Have a Bumper Car Bumping

Willis and Sarah will be remaining on Griffin V, now known as Nowy Gdansk, for a while longer as they engage in personal diplomacy.

Personally, you think that they are just there to play in the snow with Bastet.

However the presence of this ‘Home Army’ does create an opportunity. Trained men, used to combat? Valuable. Just lacking in equipment. You speak with General Potter and he’s willing to release a full foot company set of gear for their use. The cost is relatively trivial, so you authorize the weapons shipment.

You do wonder how the Poles will react to going from a few scavenged and improvised weapons to having the equipment of a fully modern infantry unit, including pulse laser rifles, man-pack PPCs and Support Lasers, and all the SRMs. Probably wish they had them back when the Dracs first arrived.

At the meeting General Potter lays before you an offer from Tank-X to upgrade the Foxhound and Wolfhound hovertanks to new models in order to boost the capabilities of the Rapid Reaction Force. They’d been stockpiling excess ferro-fibrous armor, and with the new XLFE and Enhanced PPC technology they’d decided that the time was ripe to show what they could do with the new tech.

They are offering to fully upgrade both regiments of hover tanks to the new standard for the cost of labor and new weapons.

[] Agree. Will cost 5751 but not take up any strategic materials. The new Foxhound swaps the Large Laser for an ER Large, drops the LRM rack, upgrades the SRM rack to a 6 pack, and adds a machine gun plus TAG. The new Wolfhound drops the entire weapons fit and replaces them with an Enhanced ER PPC plus LRM 10 rack combined with an Anti-Missile System. Both use XLFE and Ferro armor. Wolfhound goes to 100 hp, A/D of 15/15, and specials of SWIFT, ARMORED, ANTI-MISSILE 1, while the Foxhound goes to 44 hp, A/D of 11, and specials of SWIFT and TAG.

[] Disagree

Parliament is not happy with you taking their Department of Colonization idea, running with it, yet stripping out the language that would have effectively given them the primacy in governance and reduced you to reigning without actually ruling. Many speeches from the legislators responsible denounce you for incipient tyranny and refusing to follow the ‘elected will of the people!’. The fact that these lawmakers are then able to walk out of Parliament and return home without being molested, spied upon, abused, arrested, or killed kind of puts the lie to their claims of tyranny, though, especially in the eyes of a populace who rather like you.

Jake sends you a good memo about how to handle that, which leaves you cackling a bit.

So you write a column for the largest newspaper in Griffsport, which is reproduced in newspapers across the planet, in which you personally thank those legislators for their hard work on the Department of Colonization. You make the entire thing a gracious exercise in giving credit, without once mentioning their latest demonization campaign. Which, by your very silence on that matter, does more to thoroughly discredit it and make you look like the adult in the room and Parliament like a bunch of greedy toddlers. (+5 Approval)

This goads the most intemperate of your critics to rant, rage, and howl in fury, only for them to be ruthlessly undercut by the ‘official’ opposition, with Dominique utterly skewering them for their vain self-importance allowing you to play them like violins.

The fact that she makes this broadcast while sitting in front of a large fireplace, with a white angora cat on her lap which she is petting, and the grifftiger who’d adopted her looking truly smug in the background… you send her a note advising that next time she tries that scene to have it shot at the observation center for Mt Griffsport to have lava in the background. Accompanied by a compilation of your favorite Bond themes. (You sense a distant cry of ‘Pierce Brosnan’ to which you are compelled to respond ‘Sean Connery’. Sekhmet finds this very amusing, and ‘Daniel Craig’ pops up on her communication board.)

You get another visit from General Potter. There are several competing designs for a new fire-support mech that have reached the final stage of the design competition, any one of which can fulfill the requirements.

[]NameCostMaterialsHPAttackDefenseSpecial
[]Missile Support Mek1990DHS602525Missile-LRM
[]Magonel Missile2145.2Endo, DHS602525Missile-LRM
[]Ashigaru ASH-12223.2Endo, DHS642626Missile-LRM TAG
[]Ambush Big Brother2325.6Endo, DHS602525Missile-LRM TAG

He also shows you the results of one of your son’s most ambitious MechEng projects. A 10 ton ultralight, extremely fast but armored with tissue paper mech that only uses trivial amounts of endosteel in the chassis, so little that they practically require only scraps from the foundry thus do not consume actual strategic resources. You have the option of putting them in production as well, although the General admits that they might not be all that useful except in extremely limited circumstances compared to a ‘proper’ mech. He does note that the mad lads in his class had come up with a sword of all things, on the grounds that a proper Winged Hussar needed his cavalry saber or he’d be ‘underdressed’ and two are always better than one for some odd thematic reason he didn’t understand.

[]NameCostMaterialsHPAttackDefenseSpecial
[]Winged Hussar354.8None833Swift, Fragile, TAG

Maybe the Poles would appreciate them? You send a note to General Potter asking him to look into a full infantry support variant replacing the Medium Laser with a machine gun designed to fire both lethal and non-lethal rounds to make for a superior law enforcement mech. He promises to get back to you on that.

You do have to admit that they look cool…

Musashis-Cobra-Merged.png

QM NOTE - replace the katanas with cavalry sabers… further, note that the cockpit is technically torso mounted rather than in the head, the head and shoulders pop off to allow ejection.

Speaking of Jeremy, he’s graduating this year and being commissioned as a Second Lieutenant. He’s not yet been assigned a mech, but he’s been assigned to 1st Armored in the expectation that one will open up within the year. Looking at him in his dress uniform (with a much less pronounced ‘pointy bit’ than yours, thank god, you still can’t figure out how to convince everybody to get rid of the damn thing, tradition be damned) you feel an incredible swell of pride. Enough so that you probably embarrass the hell out of him by breaking down in sniffles and giving him a giant hug during the formal commissioning and graduation ceremony.

Well, you are his mom, and the queen, you are allowed to embarrass your son if you want.

The twins, of course, start ribbing him, so you wait until their next big race and do the same to them during driver introductions.

Thanh pointedly reminds you that she didn’t tease her big brother over this.

Doesn’t save her, you do the same thing to her at the formal presentation of her years top students. The fact that you slip her the keys to your old personal sport hovercraft while doing so is probably the only reason she’s not mad at you.

Sarah is still safe… for now. You’ll get her later.

Then it’s budget time budget time budget all the way.

You hate budget time.

Meetings are evil.

General Swanson kicks things off like usual. “Your Majesty, now that the budget is a bit better off, and being mindful of the large expenses coming up next year, we have several proposals. First of all, with the new Trooper mechs, we’d like to get started on 1st Armoreds 3rd Mech Battalion, 2nd Regiment. However we would like a factory built or converted to construct whatever new fire support mech is developed so that we can build out 3rd Battalion as what we are calling a ‘Fire’ battalion, with 2 line companies and a fire support company.”

She checks her notes. “We recommend accepting Tank-X’s proposal for improving the hovertanks of the Rapid Reaction Force as well. Our analysts are torn about the ultralight mech, but there might be a place for them. They are small enough that they won’t require a dedicated factory as they can be produced at existing industrialmech factories. In terms of conventional forces, we’d like to finish up the Mechanized Infantry regiment for 2nd Brigade and get started on the Artillery elements with a buy of Paladin SPGs.”

General Reyes then takes the podium. “Your Majesty, I’m going to be in an unusual position of recommending a minimal ASF buy this year then pausing most ASF procurement for a while. Maintenance and upkeep is becoming a serious drain on our budget overall, and our ASFs are a major component of that strain. I’d recommend finishing off the Goshawk wing, building out the new Roc and Eagle wings, then idling the factories until the economy expands enough to justify the maintenance expenses.”

Admiral Benjamin nods “We’ll be finishing HMS Intrepid this year, Your Majesty, and she’ll be in commission early next year. We might want to lay down a second Harris, but that might be a bit overly ambitious. We don’t need much mech transport, after all. While I think we should continue building Defiants, we might be better served to allow the private sector to play in the dropship sector for cargo lift and such, would make exploiting the other planets in the system much easier, which in turn would increase the budget for building up our Fleet.”

General Potter takes the podium and looks a bit grim. “We’ve run the numbers, military upkeep and maintenance are rising faster than our income, if this continues we’ll eventually be the best defended bankrupt mess in the Periphery. Let’s avoid that, Your Majesty. We should finish bulking out 2nd Brigade of 1st Armored, and possibly build up 3rd Brigade, but other than that, garrison forces for Nowy Gdansk if and when the Poles agree to join formally with Griffin’s Roost, and Defiant production we should slow down on military procurement.”

Bridget is as bubbly and bouncy as ever. “Your Majesty! With the new Department of Colonization we can do SO MUCH MORE! New cities, especially on Pollux, would be a big priority, along with continuing work up around Five Fingers because having a port up there and developing the coastal regions would be valuable and would give us a base of operations for when we want to start applying some of that terraforming know how of ours to the interior and get some water in there did you know that there is a spot there where it’s so cold and dry that there’s actually dry ice on the ground, that’s so cold that it scares me to think about so we should think about that also we should rework our economic setup to support multiplanetary economies it’s pretty simple but we’ll need throne backing to get it done as it will possibly irk Parliament to lose more power but that’s the way it is.”

Isoroku is his usual zen self. “Your Majesty, the Foreign Ministry is ready to support colonization efforts by promoting the new resource and city areas to the population. It’s fairly low cost but has a solid return on investment. In addition, with the Planetary Olympics coming up next year, we really should think about putting up a memorial to those lost against the Dracs on Nowa Warszawa, would be a lovely gesture for our new Polish friends, while also the side effects would give us more funding next year to help offset the costs of the Olympics. That being said, it’s too late for this edition, but for the next running of the Olympics we should make certain that Nowy Gdansk is invited to send a team.”

Jake isn’t available, but he sends a memo reading simply “Reorganization is never fun, but is needed, let’s get it done.”

QM Note - if both political and interior actions regarding the shift are done this year they’ll synergize their requirements rather than requiring sequential ordering

Dr Palmer has been released from the hospital, but she’s still in poor shape. She’s still enthusiastic though! “Your Majesty, we really should focus on general science this year. Improving communications is important, now that we have forces spread so far throughout the system, and improving our orbital infrastructure would help us better support high tech industry and research. In addition, we need to upgrade the space station at L4, the knock on effects will reduce the costs for orbital infrastructure and several other research projects. Finally, and this is going to sound mad, let’s see about setting up a space station in Nowy Gdansk orbit. It would be an ambitious project, but beyond the further reduction in costs for some projects it would be a valuable test of our logistics capabilities.” she pauses, grimacing a bit. “And a cure for cancer would be nice too, mine is in remission but…” she shrugs.

Janet and Harry are both at Nowy Gdansk working with their counterparts. Harry sends a memo listing a number of recommendations specifically related to counter intelligence work that he’d like to see implemented, while Janet is requesting the funding of a working group to merge Griffin’s Roost and Nowy Gdansk legal practices into an Imperial whole.

For the mech choices, one of these would be best:
[]Missile Support Mek1990DHS602525Missile-LRM
[]Ashigaru ASH-12223.2Endo, DHS642626Missile-LRM TAG
Between them, we have the cheapest (and I believe most cost effective) and least resource-using one, and the slightly better (and therefore most time/transport space effective) one.

I'm also inclined to go with the upgrade, and will be planning under that assumption.

Very good, small tip: it should be "NowY Gdańsk", while "NowA Warszawa".

In Polish adjectives are conjugated by genders (numbers too btw); a noun or substantive ending with an -a will as a rule of thumb be a female form, same for adjectives, hence "WarszawA" gets "nowA", while "GdansK" gets "nowY".

Just as long as they don't pull a Britain and throw away our generous donations when peacetime comes.

Sean Connery is Zardoz, not Bond.

[X] Missile Support Mek

This is the most cost-effective choice, both in terms of cash price and in terms of not using up as many of our precious, limited strategic materials.

[X] Winged Hussar

You do have to admit that they look cool…

<Jane> Gimme, gimme! I just need a can of black spray paint. . . .

<Michelle> You do realize that does NOT actually make it stealthier.

Seems a no brainer really

[X] Ashigaru ASH-1

Prefer this as it has more mobility than the support mek (ASH-1 has 5x jumpjets to help it maneuver/get into a good firing position while the Support Mek has 0) but otherwise the armament is pretty similar (ASH-1 has 1x LRM15, 1x LRM5 and 1x ER-PPC while the Missile Support Mek has 1x LRM20 and 1x ER-PPC).

[X] Winged Hussar

Seems like an effective infantry support mech (or a decent TAG spotter) that we can mass produce due to not needing a factory (The IS would boggle at the rate we can produce these things), could also lead to some more interesting techs as people try and improve the things further in the background (micro lasers maybe?), plus it has swords so it'll make the Dracs green with envy.

Edit: adding plan vote.

[X] Plan: Finishing what was started

Prefer this as it has more mobility than the support mek (ASH-1 has 5x jumpjets to help it maneuver/get into a good firing position while the Support Mek has 0) but otherwise the armament is pretty similar (ASH-1 has 1x LRM15, 1x LRM5 and 1x ER-PPC while the Missile Support Mek has 1x LRM20 and 1x ER-PPC).

I would point out that Jump Jets have no effect in the simplified abstractions that our Quest uses to sim out large scale operations in a practical amount of time.

[X] Agree.

It would be interesting if continuing to go down the ultralight Mech path would have us approach Battle Armor development in reverse of the norm. Which is usually “how the hell do we make infantry more effective?”

[X] Plan: Finishing what was started
-[X] Military 6 [$56499]
--[X] Initiate relief shipments to Griffin V [80]
--[X] Harden Factory 8 [65]
--[X] Harden Factory 9 [65]
(Only non-hardened factories)
--[X] Purchase New Units
---[X] 2 Flight of Rocs [70]
---[X] 3 Flights of Eagles [auto]
---[X] 1 Flight of Goshawks [70]
---[X] 2 Lances of Ambush Battlemechs [70]
---[X] 1 Lance of Pathfinder Battlemechs [70]
---[X] 1 Lance Trooper Battlemech [70]
---[X] 10 Platoons of Weasel IFVs [70]
---[X] 10 Companies Mechanized Infantry [70]
---[X] 1 Platoon Avenger-2 AAA [70]
---[X] 3 Platoons Lion Tank [70]
(Fills out ambush training, mechanized infantry, avenger, and goshawk units)

-[X]Interior 6 [$53750]
--[X] Assist with infrastructure development on Griffin V* [->1]
--[X] Construct Port on Five Fingers [75]
(Allows us to mess with Phoenix)
--[X] Permit the design of Civilian Dropships [65]
(We need logistics for a new colony, beyond a small number of military dropships)
--[X] Reorganize economy to support multi-planetary Imperial system [85]
(Time to begin preparing for the upcoming annexation)
--[X] Build Factories for Gyrfalcon on Pollux [100]
(We're going to need interceptors for initiative rolls)
--[X] Expand Orbital Factory 6 (DHS) [80]
(Everything is going to need DHS)

-[X] Diplomatic 3 [$11100]
--[X] Increased funding for the arts [70]
--[X] Commission toys based on AFGR fighters, mechs, and tanks* [auto]
--[X] CULTURE - Monuments Ho! [75]
(Tax boost is very nice, approval change doesn't hurt at all)

-[X] Political 3 [$14000]
--[X] Reorganize government on Imperial lines [85]
(We'll need this for the annexation too)
--[X] Build Relations with House of Commons [60]
--[X] Build Relations with House of Lords [60]
(Relations are pretty bad right now, lets start to work towards improving them)

-[X] Research 5 [$165200]
--[X] Orbital Survey* [100]
--[X] Advanced LB-X Autocannons [60]
(Relatively cheap military, and needed for upgrading Rocs/Goshawks and some dropship designs)
--[X] Improved Communications Lvl 3 [75]
--[X] Orbital Infrastructure lvl 3 [60]
(We want to get the next TL to get the education boost)
--[X] LOSTECH - Terraforming Equipment Lvl 2 [70]
(extra interior action, will probably be needed for making Nowy Gdansk more habitable, and settling Phoenix)

-[X] Intelligence 3 [$60050]
--[X] Investigate individuals linked to 331st [65]
(We can finally afford this, and probably better to do this sooner leaving less time for people to die and take their knowledge with them)
--[X] Upgrade counterintelligence [75]
(We don't want any successful ISF/O5P agents to do stuff)
--[X] Interrogate POWs [65]
(I think we have some ISF prisoners now, might as well try to get something useful)

-[X] Justice 2 [$10000]
--[X] Establish Legal Liaison with Nowa Gdansk [75]
(Start working towards integration, and preventing events is normally a pretty good choice)

Biggest problem with the plan is it doesn't save much, but it doesn't have the economy killers of hard to succeed massively expensive projects that really hurt us last time which should help.

EDIT: forgot these-
