On the one hand, our previous scans show that this is a very heavily armed vessel. On the other hand, it's a JumpShip; it''s not capable of moving, and it's also not taking any hostile actions at this point, nor did it take any hostile actions on any of its previous visits.

Sparrowhawks are mainly used by the Federated Suns and I'm not sure how widely spread they are among freelance mercs, so these guys might be affiliated with Davion. Which could be bad or could be good.

I’m thinking they could be two possible canon groups Union of Samoyedic Colonies and JàrnFòlk though they are a bit off the beaten path.

Never heard of the Union before so i will look it up on the wiki if there is an article. If not I will ask Yellowhamemr. I have heard of the JàrnFòlk from a dead quest and from the article on Sarna. I doubt its the JàrnFòlk since they are mostly space Amish if memory serves.

nah thats the New Delphai Compact and the Otherworlds Alliance the JàrnFòlk are descendent from people who fled the Principality of Rasalhague after the DC conquered them they headed out into the deep periphery and founded their state and have a substantial trade fleet hell the Diamond Sharks trade with them if memory serves.

they do have an Agricultural society though and make a lot of money through trading with other deep periphery powers as well as limited manufacturing. Though they make amazing pistols and have first class body guards and assassins.

edit: as well as for the Union Check Interstellar Players 3: Interstellar Expeditions they are in there but they are a nomadic people who saved I think they are called Blanc's Coyotes who suffered a rather nasty misjump.

Okay, people have taken my initial thoughts from last night, and made them better. Joining the bandwagon.

The last bit probably isn't needed, but better to include it than exclude it.

HMS Defiant and Intrepid are warmed up and ready, in an elliptical orbit which would give them plenty of base velocity to build upon for the interception.

“This is Griffin’s Roost Imperial Aerospace Control. You have entered this system without prior permission. Identify yourself and state your reason for entering our space.” had been transmitted out a few minutes earlier. You weren’t wholly satisfied with it, as it was somewhat bellicose, but reviewing the briefing papers and historical data from Sarah it appeared to be a rather standard greeting.

”Vi är de fria. Gå inte utan tillstånd. Tänk inte att attackera. Bättre män än du har försökt. Bättre män än du har dött. Vad vill du.” came crackling over the speakers, the voice harsh with a slight mechanical undertone.

You glance over at a monitor as Sarah provides a translation, marking the language as 98% probability Swedish. “We are the Free. Do not approach without permission. Do not think to attack. Better men than you have tried. Better men than you have died. What do you want.” was the approximate translation. Sarah had once informed you that the code base for her translation software apparently originated as something called ‘Giggle Translate’, so you weren’t 100% certain you trusted this.

You purse your lips, this could go in several directions…

[] Friendly and conciliatory, they are obviously suspicious and defensive, let’s approach with a smile on our face.

[] Aggressive but open to peaceful contact. You’d fought off the Dragon, a single souped up porcupine of a dropship doesn’t intimidate you, but they’ve not yet proven hostile.

QM Note - I am experimenting a bit with smaller updates for something as interactive as this to give the players more control. Think about what image you want to portray here! I will start writing the next update when there are 8 votes total so long as the leading option is ahead by at least 2, and at 10 votes total even if the leading option is ahead by less than 2.

Best to go the neutral route, no need to go full aggressive but this is our system and there's no reason to be overly friendly due to the other visitors we've already had.
