Been meaning to comment. The Nats alone have deeply impressed me. 2 games won against the Cards in the NLCS, and I really expected a tougher fight from the Cards after they wrecked the Braves 13-1 in that last game.

As for the Dodgers? I was cheering at home and my Grandfather was smiling somewhere as well.

I just cannot say nice things about Steinbrenners Mercenaries.

But its early.

I'd rather say nice things about pinstripes than about the *spits* Dodgers!

The Nats are looking impressive, as are the Yankees (although tonight's game is looking closer)

I'm still rather stoked about my D-backs, this year we were supposed to tank due to dumping so many of our best players yet we finished 5 games up from last year. Combined with our strong farm (in everything but corner outfielders LOL) I think we'll have turned a vital corner. All of our best players are under team control for 3 to 5 years, and we're in good shape overall.

In other news Nationals headed to the World Series!

They cut it close there though, top of the eighth, bases loaded, up 7-4... I saw so many people on the tv looking like they were about to have a heart attack. But they made it.

Now to see who they face.

I was at the 5th game. The place went nuts after the final out. Yeah, the 8th Inning was a bit on a nerve-wracker.

Congrats to the Astros, glad that they won since they've got Greinke, who is still one of my fav pitchers. But I'm rooting for the Nats, since they beat the Dodgers

I used to be a Mariner's fan back in the 90s, but I sort of drifted away from baseball. At the time we were battling Cleveland for a chance at the world series. Now that I'm married to someone from Cleveland, I actually followed the Indians through their playoff run a couple years ago... That felt weird.

I did know enough to feel terribly sad at the way the rest of the Mariners from management on down failed Ichiro, though. He deserved a title.

Feel worse for Felix Hernandez. Who will go down in history as the best pitcher to never pitch in playoffs.

Also, the Mariners are now the only Franchise in the MLB to never play in the World Series

The Nats still look good IMO, even after tonight. Was hoping we'd blitz the Astros, but knew that wasn't going to happen. I do know this. This won't end short of 7 games, no matter who wins.

Congrats to the Nationals. I was rooting for them, but after game 5 I didn’t know if they could pull it off. Really glad that they could do it.

Also, this is the only World Series where the road teamwon every game.

It's more than that, it's the only 7 game championship series ever where the away team won every game

So, my fellow baseball fans... How bout them Cheatstros?

AJ Hinch is gonna be lucky if he can manage his grandkid's little league team. He'll never work in MLB again. And I find it interesting that no effort was made to find the worst offenders amongst the players.

What I find real interesting is the evidence that some of the Cheatstros players were using buzzers under their jerseys in 2019. The whole 'don't rip off my jersey' thing in the Yankees game. Also that there is suspicion that the Red Sox might have been up to the same sort of shenanigans.

Bluntly, this entire thing is a serious stain on the game, on the level of the Black Sox scandal. Far far worse than Pete Rose (after all, for all that Rose bet on his own team... he always bet on them to win. Against the rules, yes, but on the other hand...) I'd almost rate this as worse than the 'roids era.

The 2017 World Series will forever have an asterix, and IMO the 2019 should always have a star, the Nats managed to win despite the Cheatstros best efforts. Theory here, but I think the Nats exceptionally crafty sign system may have caused the Cheatstros to outsmart themselves at home, they were signalling the wrong pitches to their hitters giving the *Nationals* the advantage. Karma, bitches.

I still love Rendon's reaction to that controversial base running call against Turner. "Call this, dweebs" (smacks in a home run).

With no baseball for a while, been watching baseball videos.

My dad used to be an ump for little league, and on at least one occasion one of my fastballs got past the catcher and nailed him in the mask.
