TBH Clinton apparently was considering Jeanine Pirro or Joe Brown as AG because both would have been good minority picks, both had extensive experience dealing with militias/organized crime/corruption and the other hot buttons issues that were all the rage in the 90's.
Brown told him to go suck his wife's dick if you believe the story Judge Brown told on a Hotep stream a few months ago (I personally do, because Barr and Holder both back the story up) and Pirro was..doing something else and too risky a pick and a Republican. There were several other blue dog democrat Prosecutors who were women who would have done an okay to good job.
But he deliberately went with Reno because she was A: gay and B: fucking his eventual pick for Education secretary (Donna Shalala was the worst President The University of Miami ever had incidentally. Bitch nuked child care benefits and abolished family picnic weekend just because she hated most UM employees were family men/women) and C: had a bold and beautiful illness that made her stunning and brave.
So our Drug addict and chief had a choice, he could have picked a competent female and he opted with the psychopathic, neurocrippled, deviant whose thought process involved endorsing the immolation of babies for political expedience instead
My point is it's less that Reno was a woman and more that she was a complete monster and Clinton thought it was funny as hell to put her there.

THe ossue being they are the closest we get to a civilian special forces without using the military. I doubt you would want the military to be able to operate groups like Delta, Seals, and the like on US Soil for such things.

Considering their leader was out in front of ATF talking with the agents, I doubt BDs would have started the shooting, so it's most likely that ATF started the fight.
the shooting that I was tlaking about was when the ATF were on the roof. Everyone either says a helicopter, that the ATF and FBI claimed to be unarmed (Most liekly just small arms from the people on board) or the BD fired out of it.I doubt 5.56 would be able to go through that roof from that angle.

They used to just transfer you to Alaska, or some small town field office where nothing ever happens so you become irrelevant and out of the game. Most are fine collecting a six figure paycheck and living in a cheap, sleepy town where they can raise theiir kids so don't fight it too much.
