An Alabama grad or fan would probably fail the one-page entrance exam Washington University in St. Louis had for night/summer classes when I was in college. That's Ivy-League level expensive and where I went. The exam was basically asking you if you were literate enough to write your name and wealthy enough to write a large cheque.

The Crimson Tide were chosen for the movie Forrest Gump to be the team and college he was part of for a reason: smart kids don't go to Alabama universities.

I'm not sure. Wustl is DIII, doesn't offer athletic scholarships, and the campus is pretty small, so probably not.

Maybe, but we're heading into something which might get sent to The Bintananth Bin or tossed to your women's gymnastics thread by a moderator: most teenage girls and adult women aren't small and flexible enough to do a women's gymnastics routine.

My sisters, daughters, and teenage neices certainly aren't. Most of them can say "I'm bigger than you, don't mess with me." to about a third of an NFL roster.

FSU lost pretty hard to Wake Forrest. Not going to lie, their offensive scheming is pretty good, but I wonder how much of FSU's janky performance was due to hurricane disruptions to practices.

I think some people are going to overreact to the loss, but Norvell's job should be safe.

What we desperately need is a good kicker.

Meanwhile my DIII WashU Bears are 4-0 and have completely crushed the competition despite being even pickier* than an Ivy league school in terms of who they admit.

* Most people who are aiming for the Ivy League don't know that wustl exists.
