Nuclear energy is the same sort of problem as homelessness, drug addiction and inflation. They're all issues that could disappear within a week, if only somebody actually TRIED to fix the problem.
Recently in San Fransisco people wandered the streets and were like "What the fuck? There's no more human feces on the sidewalk? No more tents? No more heroin needles? What gives?"
The Government took less than a week to turn a third-world-shithole into a relatively modern first world city. Of course FIXING a problem means you no longer have said problem for people to focus on, and we can't be having that!
So no nuclear energy for you! Because then how could we keep our jobs?
It's worse than that. They can't fix it because either the solutions would mean splitting their way with a leftist lobby of some sort with massive political consequences, or end a crisis that they have set up to get some other concession.
The green anti-nuclear stance being a cover for commie economics has become a meme in and of itself.
I mean that's basically my point, they could fix it, but it'd get in the way of what they want. So therefore it's obviously a problem that can never be solved.It's worse than that. Apparently Poland has a new pro-EU government that is pushing for green shit that hurts its own agriculture. I'm curious if our resident Poles can confirm what this guy is talking about. If this is true, I'm wondering how that happened considering Poland's stance on immigration that the EU tried to force on them, and if you have to worry about getting "culturally enriched" now on top of this climate bullshit.
It's true to a degree, title is clickbaity, so i'd say true but exaggerated in scale.
Also the green crap was never particularly popular in Poland, especially with the farmers.

Part media, part the previous party not being great at economics while also being pretty arrogant about staying in power, and a dirty, barely working alliance between the left, the liberals and the center populists against it.
Besides, while farmers are somewhat influential voting block, they don't carry more than few percent of votes, it's not easy for them to turn elections.
