Who will they blame this on?
The CCP would probably blame "Western instigators" or some rot, despite how nonsensical that would be, haha.

But really the Dam collapsing is from a lot of factors, especially poor planning/construction.

IIRC some guy on YouTube, an engineer or architect, actually explained that China fucked up massively by building the Dam there and fucking up its shape (which is why it's slowly collapsing).

I'm not sure if Tofu Dreg Construction (tm) was involved, but it wouldn't surprise me if it were somehow.

But either way, that Dam is going to break some day in the future. They can delay it as much as possible to the point where it'd be more "glue and tape", but they're only pushing back the inevitable.

When it blows, it's going to destroy a lot in its wake.

A total creep
Taiwan having an option to strike the Three Gorges Dam on the other hand should provide a nice deterrent to the highest levels of Chinese aggression and help focus everyone on following a path of mutual understanding and respect.
Indeed. The wonders of MAD at work :)
And who needs nukes if Taiwan can send Ninjas trained at Shaolin Temple (New Location) TM to make the dams collapse by glaring angrily at it, chanelling their Chi at its Unharmonious, Unfilial and Feng Shui offending form?!?

It could mean war.

If it were any other country, I'd laugh at the idea.

But China using their own construction failures and mistakes as an excuse for a war for Taiwan, for example? Yeah, that's certainly plausible in my eyes.

Please. I can't imagine a major country allowing a major dam collapse due to incompetence and blaming it on foreign aggression. When has that ever happened...

Filipino Media and whatnot has been showing media of the aftermath of when a Filipino Patrol Boat, the BRP Sindanagan accidentally rammed a Chinese Coast Guard vessel several times its size when the Chinese Coast Guard vessel attempted to cut off and block the passage of the Filipino vessels in the midst of numerous Chinese Coast Guard and Maritime Militia boats circling and surrounded the BRP Sindanagan and another small Filipino patrol boat, the BRP Cabra.

What's interesting is that while the Filipino Patrol Boats didn't suffer any significant damage, there were multiple holes in the Chinese Coast Guard vessel that was bumped. This Coast Guard vessel was formerly a Type 056 Corvette launched in 2014 for service in the PLA Navy before being transferred to the Coast Guard. It's ninety meters long and displaces over 1500 tons.

By comparison the BRP Sindanagan is a forty five meter long patrol boat that displaces about 321 tons which is barely a fifth of the size of the Chinese Coast Guard Corvette.

I can see at least three holes of significant size which means the BRP Sindanagan has penetrated far more Chinese than your average ChiCom Male. I bet she liked getting T-boned by PINOY POWER!

Though its far to state the BRP Sindanagan was actually built by Japan, which opens a whole new bunch of memes.

...You know, it says how badly Chinese manufacturing is when a goddamn military corvette is damaged by a coast guard vessel.

If I were Algeria, Nigeria, and Bangladesh, I'd be fucking worried that my Chinese-sourced military vessels are going to spontaneously sink.

It is worrisome though how emboldened the Communists have become due to the inept and dithering radical-brained Biden administration. We need to bring back Teddy Roosevelt's policy of "speak softly and carry a big stick". Biden's impotent screeching and tactical "leaks" of what he is screaming about "behind closed doors" is basically the exact opposite.

Drone footage of quadcopters dropping grenades down open hatches and causing a catastrophic magazine explosion?

First person footage of crewmembers on the deck of a Missile Corvette praying for the FPV drone not to ram them close to the waterline?

I like the memes -but if the point of one ship goes into the side of another, the impact is not the same for both.

It’s been going on a lot longer than Biden.
