And he has no reason to. Brooks literally plowed through dozens of people and killed six of them in cold blood, then proceeded to make a complete ass of himself on TV and had no respect for the law.

The worry about him being pardoned doesn't wash with me, especially in the short term. He wasn't active in any activist groups or anything and the police apprehended him without much issue.
The mainstream media would prefer (and did) basically report on the story for a bit then memory holed it until it was perfunctorily reported on when the trial and the criminals antics began.
With cases like these it's always downplay and minimize since there's no easy to exploit angle for fomenting outrage.

It's insanity. There's no way a guy like this is going to get pardoned, even if Biden had that power. It would absolutely cost the Democrats Wisconsin and be a heavy blow to the Democrats on a national level.
Again, this is a dumb fear. Don't get me wrong, there is real stuff to fear from Biden, but not this. He is not legally able to pardon the guy. This is very well established. The state would just laugh at Biden and the murderer, keep the murderer in jail, then win in court if either sue.

I agree. If Biden wants to engage in politically performative pardons, he'll pick someone else to do it with.
There's still a slim chance he'll try anyways; I have a policy of never ruling out 'are the Democrats really that stupid?' But if they have a single lick of sense, they'd go for someone like Jussie Smollett instead.
