I was thinking more along the lines of the old-timey small local community papers which are all but gone these days, not the big ones with a national audience like the NYT.

The kinds of newspapers which would have been published where my wife's maternal grandmother was from where stuff like "so-and-so's tractor broke down and the Halloween hayride is cancelled" would be considered front page news.
