What If? By Act of ROB, the USA gets an army of Liberty Primes & other Fallout Robots during WWII

They cross the ocean somehow and keep spouting Anti-Communism slogans and kill whatever “Communists“ they can find

They also attack the USSR even when the American Government tries telling them not to

“Robo-President John Henry Eden” who is EDEN in the body of a massive Liberty Prime does a coup de’tat and kills Woodrow Wilson whom he calls a Dirty Communist and makes laws like declaring segregation illegal, intellectual property now null, legalizing all forms of drugs and alcohol and other hedonisms, legalizing gay marriage, legalizing interracial marriage, legalizing gun ownership 500%, destroying minimum wage laws

Also, making Fallout Shelter/Arcology/Vaults a thing and declaring “public school” not-a-thing and replacing it all with Securitrons who give out education to random passerbys

Turning feral dogs or dogs from the streets into cyberdogs en masse, releasing large numbers of deathclaws into the environment etc

He also gives law enforcement “robot buddies” who watch them and others and tell them to report communist insurgents

Uhh, FDR was president during ww2, Wilson was WW1. Either way, people can’t stop him with that stuff, although given his speeches are borrowed from FDR anyway, Eden may not be that different.

They wanted to invade the soviets after the war, so no. The British perspective would be the US will do their work for them.

The communists will support the soviets regardless, although the ones in the US get the fallout treatment, beyond that their own people would support them. That is it though.

So does USSR territory get declared "America" along with other Communist territories? I think that'd result in everybody else being afraid that "We're next" if all it takes to decide a justification is "Communists" in power and FDR getting declared a "Communist" by Eden mid-coup

It does, but the abilities of the world are limited, nukes weren’t a thing, and the robots have advanced tech.

Up until this part, things would probably ultimately be accepted. This section? We have what is effectively a foreign robot dictator conquering America. Presidents don't get to pass laws. I would definitely expect a lot of resistance to pop up. Resistance would be bloody, but more gun ownership would only help the resistance. Who would win? Haven't played 3 to understand the abilities of Liberty Prime, so I have no idea.

Can they even prove he's NOT American?

Liberty Prime required orbital firepower to bring him down as I recall, then again with wasteland resources you don't get much in the way of artillery

It's not so much "prove he is American," as "We have no idea where this thing that's completely ignoring the American Constitution came from." It's not legally permitted to become President by killing the old one, after all. Could he be American from some other universe? Sure. Is he an American from this universe? Nope. I'm guessing large numbers of people flee the USA to avoid the incoming Robo-Dystopia
