Yeah, I really did not see:

The Kolder being an entire race of high-tech Sliders/Isekai coming. I quite admire a good plot twist that both surprises me and is something that fits the existing themes of the story so I was impressed with this one.
They answered more questions in second volume about Kolder, which also is worth reading. All next volumes are more or less worthless.Pity.
One of cases,in which story should not be continued, but was.

Alright, we should be moving on to our 4th book now but we have only a single nomination for next month. So interest is waning, and I'd like to get some feedback on why.

Is it just that people are busy with the holiday season and we should skip December and start up next year? Is there not enough interest on The Sietch to maintain a book club? Or is it another problem?

Might be a good idea to take a break for the holidays, and just extend last month's book (which I and, from the lack of discussion, I'm pretty sure several other people never got started on) into this month.

Probably just the Holidays, everything gets busier and whatnot.

I will nominate Airborn a book about airships, pirates and mysterious creatures. Looks to be a fun gaslamp steampunk adventure.

Airborn is a 2004 young adult novel by Kenneth Oppel. The novel is set in an alternate history where the airplane has not been invented, and instead, airships are the primary form of air transportation. Additionally, the world contains fictional animal species such as flying creatures that live their entire lives in the sky. The book takes place aboard a transoceanic luxury passenger airship, the Aurora, and is told from the perspective of its cabin boy, Matt Cruse.

So it looks like our lineup of choices are:

Airborn by Kenneth Oppel
For Love of Mother Not by Alan Dean Foster
Illusion by Paula Volsky
Salvos: Curious Beginnings by V.A. Lewis

If I missed your nomination let me know, otherwise the new thread will go up tomorrow.
