Maybe they are; I doubt as many as 38 percent of Americans actually knowingly approve of what Biden's administration has done since entering office. Or at least, I'd like to think we don't have that many people in this country willing to drink the Kool-Aid. Though that said, there's not much point in it. Approval polls mean nothing in the grand scheme of things.

It's entirely believable that 38% of people would support Biden even if he showed up and killed their dogs.

As @Captain X said, lots of people approve of all this authoritarian bullshit. It's what they wanted all along. Others are so filled up on propaganda that they can't even see what's going on around them.

When my dad was going to college back in the '70s or '80s, they did some kind of an agricultural expo to show all the products that came from various animals. As you might guess, this is in a state where agriculture is the main industry, yet there were still people who thought things like milk were made somewhere, like soda and other drinks, rather than being from an animal.

The only thing I can find on that is an online survey done by the Innovation Center of U.S. Dairy back in 2017, and their results showed only 7% thinking that chocolate milk comes from brown cows; and I'm sure at least some of them were joking.

I am probably misremembering and just pulling stuff out of my ass, but my point was that 30% of people believing or supporting something ridiculous isn't that crazy or weird.

Not to harp on you too much here, but people seem to like authoritarian strong man stuff, as long as it's their authoritarian strong man. So only 38% seems shockingly low, and a good thing. Though what that means for elections, IDK.
