Best nerd/otaku bait geek waifu in anime.

So, we have had quite a few of these as of recent years, with some barely getting a notice while as others, like Hana "Sugoi Dekai" Uzaki receive oversized attention, in no small part because of the autistic screeching of the usual blue-hair, blue-check mark suspects.
So, since this is something of a phenomenon that appears to be gathering steam I decided to make a thread about it.

But we have never had them battle it out for the crown of best nerdbait geekwaifu.

So, let us begin, shall we:

1. Kirino Kosaka

Anime: Oreimo.
Credentials : Enjoys anime and eroge games in secret.Writes fanfiction that later turned into an LN and an anime, is involved in game development.

2.Ruri Gokō/Kuroneko

[/SIZE]


Anime: Oreimo again.
Credentials: Gothic Lolita outfit, enjoys making and wearing cosplay outfits, likes to engage into deeper discussions related to Fatasy anime and manga. Writes manga and fanfiction and engages in game development.

3. Umaru Doma/UMR/Himaru:

Anime: Himouto! Umaru-chan
Credentials: Obsessive Otaku and gamer that can stay around all night and grind or watch anime.


4. Ako Tamaki:

Anime: And You Thought There Is Never a Girl Online?
Credentials: She is an obsessive gamer, mainly focused on one MMO, however she has a hard time differentiating between the game and reality.Also cosplays.



5.Hana "Sugoi Dekai" Uzaki

Anime: Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out!
Credentials: Enjoys engaging in various activities like gaming with her Senpai, Sugoi Dekai Oppai.


6. Moriko Morioka

Anime: Recovery of an MMO Junkie.
Credentials: Former career woman that became a NEET in order to play her favorite MMOs, at which she is rather good.Probably the most realistic waifu on the list.

7. Kitagawa Marin

Anime: Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru/My Dress-Up Darling
Credentials: Cosplayer, closet eroge addict and intentionally created as a waifu for anime nerds so as to bring in the money for the creator.

8.Yomiko Readman

Anime: Read or Die
Claim to fame: Reads a lot.

Honorable mentions:

Shirobako, Eromanga-sensei and New Game! all had waifus working in the anime/LN/WN/manga/Games industry, but none of them were the same level of 'bait' or fanservice and in the case of Eromanga Sensei it felt more like a direct clone of Oreimo with the original writer trying to milk the audience for more money, and it was pretty much a lilicon-esque show, so not adding it here because puritanism.

I'm not really into waifu culture. It seems hyper consumerist. Seasonal waifus are hyped up, and then once their show is over they are thrown into the trash and forgotten. Waifu addicts have no loyalty. Obsessing over drawings of an imaginary woman seems a little strange. And if you are going to obsess over a waifu, then at least obsess over one who would treat you right. You don't want to be in a relationship with the Oreimo girl or Himaru.

Anyway, of the girls listed, the MMO Junkie girl has a nice character design.

It is acknowledged that they are all bait, and Aoba from New Game or any of the girls from Shirobako would IMHO make a better waifu/girlfriendo.

Kuroneko is probably the nicest and most normal of the bunch on here, also, damn it, I forgot Kitagawa Marin, who is the current reigning nerdbait waifu...
The problem with New Game is that it was basically borderline Yuri though.

First of all, she's actually an adult ... while most anime waifus aren't. Heck, most RL guys would be lucky if they could pry a nerdy bookworm like her away from a library long enough to take her out for dinner and a movie.

EDIT: I could probably do it by telling her that I have written books which aren't in public libraries. They're engineering spec books which probably haven't ever been read cover-to-cover by anyone ... including me.

Another "not the best fit" would be Seira Morimura (Princess Nine). Unlike most anime characters she's a toned down expy of a real woman. The real Seira is 6'3" and much more of a delinquent than the 5'7" anime Seira.

No, I do not want to know what manner of shenanigans occurred which resulted in you drunkenly calling me from Montreal at 4:30AM when you were in St. Louis yesterday morning or why my car and three of my sisters (one of whom is named Seira as well) are also in Montreal.
